Andy McCarthy explains why Mueller was wrong in his explosive statement this morning

Andy McCarthy feels that Mueller’s statement this morning was explosive, in that in gave fuel to those in Congress who want to impeach the president. But he says that Mueller’s reasoning for why he couldn’t come to a decision on Trump’s guilt or innocence was wrong and he explains why below:

McCarthy says the DOJ guidance doesn’t prevent Mueller from making a decision one way or the other and that it’s his job as a prosecutor to make that decision.

Newt Gingrich underscored McCarthy’s point by explaining that when Ken Starr wrote his report on Clinton, he actually said Clinton was ‘guilty’ in the report despite the longstanding DOJ guidance:

Gingrich says Starr used the word ‘guilty’ eleven times in his report with six of them being for obstruction of justice. ‘

He notes that Starr didn’t say they needed to indict Clinton, but rather just gave his judgement as a prosecutor like he was asked to do.
