Andy McCarthy explains why the IG didn’t find political bias…

If you’re looking for more of a technical explanation as to why the IG said that he didn’t find that political bias affected the investigation, then this is the video for you.

Andrew McCarthy explains how the IG evaluated ‘judgements’ that were made by the FBI why that led to them stating that they essentially found no evidence that political bias was involved in the investigation itself.

You should watch the entire interview as he covers several aspects of this. But one thing McCarthy points out is that the IG was evaluating investigatory judgments by agents on the basis of whether they were irrational, not whether the IG agreed with them or found they were the only decisions that could have been made. Meaning the IG wasn’t second guessing the discretionary judgements of the agents.

He also argues that Strzok and Page clearly saw the email investigation and the Russia investigation as a continuum, meaning that there was a larger context to some of these decisions that the IG wouldn’t see when evaluating them in the smaller context of their own investigations.
