Angry CNN Host goes after Trump Jr and accuses him of LYING when he really didn’t [VIDEO]

CNN’s Anderson Cooper went after Donald Trump Jr. on his show tonight and accused him of lying.

At issue is this tweet from Trump Jr. showing Cooper really low in some deep flood waters:

Note that Trump Jr. linked to an article from Breitbart that reported on CNN’s ratings dropping 41%. And the picture Trump Jr. used for the tweet shows Cooper way down in the water – a metaphor I think for CNN’s loss of ratings per the article.

And that’s all Trump Jr. says about it. I checked.

But Cooper accused Trump Jr. of spreading lies, lies that suggested he was trying to make the the Florence flood waters look much deeper than they were. But he never said that.

Watch:

As Cooper indicated, other people were doing exactly what he accused Trump Jr. of doing. He even quotes one person on twitter who accused him of being on his knees, saying that he’s used to being on his news. LOL! Cooper was not a fan of the anti-gay remark but it was funny that he quoted it.

In fact I found the whole segment to be quite funny. Cooper spends the entire time disproving a twitter meme, pointing out that not only was this in fact Hurricane Ike from 10 years ago, but that he really was standing in the deep waters and that they were actually demonstrating that the flood waters were receding.

Now look. I get his beef with Twitter accusing him of lying based on an old photo. Some never check anymore before just accusing someone of fake news. Twitter is ridiculous that way. But Trump Jr. never said any of that. Yes, he did tweet it this weekend while Hurricane Florence was raining on the Carolinas and Cooper could have said Trump Jr. was implying it. But he never said what Cooper accused him of saying, plain and simple.

It’s ironic that in a segment where Cooper is trying to debunk fake news accusations, that he ends up creating more fake news because of his carelessness.

By the way, this is an open thread. Enjoy it.
