AOC cites the BIBLE to support interest rate bill, then BASHES Christians on abortion!

Ocasio-Cortez is truly the leading intellectual in the Democratic party as this irrational display of absurdity shows.

On the one hand, she actually cites the Bible in support of her bill to regulate interest rates:

THEN she goes on to MOCK Christians and their theology when it comes to abortion!

Wha? This is abject nonsense. No one is calling for criminalization of AOC skanking it up with any stranger she wants, we just don’t want people to slaughter unborn children because it’s more convenient to be irresponsible.

So… is she FOR living under biblical instruction, or not? I guess only when it serves her socialist political agenda, otherwise, she craps all over the faith. Incredible hypocrisy, but you won’t see her called on it by the mainstream media anywhere. We, on the other hand, thoroughly enjoy pointing at her stupidity and laughing heartily.

  1. Here is an interesting video of residents within AOC’s district which should put a smile on your face. Your welcome. 😀

  2. She is either an immature 5 year old girl in the body of a grown woman or she’s demon possessed. Either way, it’s not good.

  3. In Mark 12:17, Yeshua says to rend unto Caesar, what belongs to Caesar. Conservative President Calvin Coolidge – a Christian, by the way – stated:

“A government which lays taxes on the people not required by urgent public necessity and sound public policy is not a protector of liberty, but an instrument of tyranny. It condemns the citizen to servitude. One of the first signs of the breaking down of free government is a disregard by the taxing power of the right of the people to their own property. It makes little difference whether such a condition is brought about through the will of a dictator, through the power of a military force, or through the pressure of an organized minority. The result is the same. Unless the people can enjoy that reasonable security in the possession of their property, which is guaranteed by the Constitution, against unreasonable taxation, freedom is at an end. The common man is restrained and hampered in his ability to secure food and clothing and shelter. His wages are decreased; his hours of labor are lengthened.”

The federal government is very specifically limited on it’s scope of enumerated powers, which includes what it can, and can’t, tax, and what those taxes can be spent on. This has long since passed the point of tyranny, and Cortez is eager to make things worse, and beyond tyrannical, with her supposed “Green New Deal”, which would literally turn over every American, and shake every penny out of their pockets, to transform us into generationally poor, Eurotrash dirt farmers, with no chance of ever becoming anything better, and only being wealthy if in the liberal elite (politicians, “entertainers”, etc.). A lot of these programs are considered (by the stupid) “charitable”, such as social programs, but in reality, all they do is create slaves, dependent on the government, and destroying families, as people like AOC have done with Blacks. Taking from me, against my will, to give to someone else that you have deemed more worthy of the fruits of my labors is not charity, it is theft.

    Deuteronomy 15:8 says:

“…but you shall freely open your hand to him, and shall generously lend him sufficient for his need in whatever he lacks.”

The vast majority of the fruits of my labor do not belong to Caesar, in spite of what she, and other Satan worshiping hypocrites might think I’m stupid enough to believe. People like Cortez are not Christians, nor creatures of Christ, in any way. They see what they want to see, and hear what they want to hear, from the Bible. Were that not the case, the part about: “…freely open your hand…” would actually have meaning to her, and the rest of her accursed ilk. If she really wanted to be charitable, she could propose a plan to end all unconstitutional taxation. If she was actually worried about interest rates, she’d propose a bill to force Congress to permanently relinquish that unconstitutionally held power, and obey the 10th Amendment, which clearly states:

The powers not delegated to the United States by the Constitution, nor prohibited by it to the States, are reserved to the States respectively, or to the people.

As for a “far right theocracy” (something I’m sure she needed spell check for), she’s just another leftist idiot that’s read too much of the idiotic book Handmaid’s Tale, or whatever that trashfire of a book is called. Most likely, she doesn’t have what it takes to read a book, so she probably just watches the poorly adapted TV show. It’s funny, because the show shows “religious” fanatics taking over, and using women as harem stock, but Christians are strictly monogamous.

I wonder if she’d explain how that works. However, if I could rewrite the book and series for realism, there is a religion that actually is liable to do such things, and, historically, actually has…

If a nitwit like Cortez is going to pretend to be acquainted with the Bible, maybe she should actually read it. In fact, I recommend she skip to the end.

  4. Bible also shows how mad everyone was at the tax collectors raking them over the coals and called them the worstmlm

  5. I always find it interesting when people who reject G-d and Jesus tell others how to be Christian.

    1. @toon Non-Christians love to point to a Christian’s sin and call us all hypocrites because we sin. That’s the first place they show their lack of understanding. Every true Christian is fully aware that they have sinned and that those sinful acts are something that shouldn’t be done. The good book says we are sinners and we don’t try to deny it. What the non-Christians miss is that we admit we’re sinners and are the first ones to say our sinful acts are wrong and shouldn’t be encouraged. The non-Christians on the other hand don’t want to have to admit wrongdoing so they want their sin accepted as okay by everyone, and demand we all get on the express train to Hell.

  6. Ooh ooh, I know what was on J-Mao’s Word Of the Day calendar today!

And yet, she still failed to understand it correctly.

  7. It never occurs to the AOCs of the world to just pay cash……cash IS still an option, isn’t it?

  8. As a jewel of gold in a swine’s snout, so is a fair woman which is without discretion.

    (Proverbs 11:22)

  9. First of all, I am unconvinced that AOC, and most of her generation of radical progressives, are even capable of reading, and certainly NOT comprehending if they can read, though even old progressives (Pelosi comes to mind) are lazy and prefer someone to tell them the gist of whatever they want to advance (“we have to pass it to know what’s in it”).

Second, I cannot think of a single progressive commie-socialist who believes in the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob, but nearly all of them attempt to use ignorant, twisted or non-existent “scripture” from the Bible to validate and justify their idiocy…failing miserably, of course, except for those who are equally lazy and ignorant and accept anything they are told without question.

Finally, progressive commie-socialists always mis-characterize Christians. True Christians love all people. We are mindful that the LGBTQ lifestyle is a sin, but who among us has not sinned? We do not hate anyone and we pray for all who sin, not just ourselves, family and friends, but also for each Christian, Jew, Muslim, Hindi, atheist, etc. because true Christians want to help save ALL souls from satan.

Praise Our Heavenly Father and Creator for gifting to us a new day every 24 hours to discover and grow in greater faith and fellowship with Him! Let NOT your heart be troubled by the matters of this world, because no matter what is happening, walking with Him will set us free.

  10. When these caps on interest rates are imposed the consequences will NOT be a benefit to low-income, high risk borrowers. They will, in fact, be the first to be denied ANY credit at all. No longer will they be able to go to a high-interest, sub-prime lender for their short-term, emergency needs for a quick, cash loan. They will be compelled to go to loan sharks and other illicit lenders who are not regulated at all. They will not qualify for FOMOCO or GMAC financing. Instead of being able to borrow money to buy an over-priced used car at prohibitively high interest rates, they will not be able to purchase a car AT ALL. Now, that may cause a glut of used cars to flood the market place and drive down their prices, somewhat, But those low-income, high-risk borrowers STILL WILL NOT be able to purchase one because they still won’t have the money and they won’t be able to borrow it.

I find it somewhat ironic that big banks and others who are such vicious critics of high-interest lenders, Title Pawn brokers and pay-day lenders, ALL of whom are regulated by state and local governments and, in some instances, by federal law, are not the least bit interested in meeting the short-term credit needs of the people about whom they pretend to care so deeply.

No bank, no credit card company and no other “legitimate” lender is going to give these people so much as the time of day once these interest rate caps are put into effect.

  11. I’ve got three words for you AOC,shut up stupid! On second thought keep talking! Nothing illustrates absurdity like the absurd! You are nothing if not absurd!

  12. She might make more sense if she was a drug addict. Leftists know they are losing the argument/battle when they have to resort to using the Bible. She pretends to actually know what it means… Maybe God will reach her black little heart by this? She’s still grotesque.

  13. She’s becoming such a liability to the DNC that I believe there may be efforts to unseat her.

  14. Ms Cortez, it is time you owned your own body.

Understand how it works and what you are willing to do to it and the life you are capable of creating inside it. Learn you produce more than a “clump of cells” when you engage in activities that only you can own.

No one else owns you Ms Cortez. Only you owns you.

  15. She’s becoming such a liability to the DNC that I believe there may be efforts to unseat her.

  16. Ms Cortez, it is time you owned your own body.

  17. She will say and do anything that will keep getting her face in the news. Just ignore her.

  18. The idea that anyone would pay any attention to this moron makes my head hurt. Then I look around and see how many people think themselves informed based on how many talking points they can parrot and I understand. That makes my head hurt worse.

    1. Her value is she says what all the rest of the Democrats really thinking, but lying and pretending they do not.

Keep her around as Exhibit A -this allows ready rebuttal arguments when other Democrats start acting stupid too.

Ms Cortez owns the stupid market, so once she is debunked, it is back to winning again.

  19. She will say and do anything that will keep getting her face in the news. Just ignore her.

  20. When these caps on interest rates are imposed the consequences will NOT be a benefit to low-income, high risk borrowers. They will, in fact, be the first to be denied ANY credit at all. 1. The next step is for the government to force banks to lend to the poor and high risk people, just like they did with mortgages under the Community Reinvestment Act. Remember NINJA loans? No Income-No Job-No Asset loans.

      1. And look how long it has taken to recover from that fiasco. There are segments of our society who may never recover.

        1. You don’t “recover” from an artificial, over-heated bubble like the 2008 bubble burst – you go back to normal.

Unless you only believe in the top of the market as normal and not the median between the top and bottom of the market. That is just another way of being greedy.

          1. @factotum When I used the word “recover” I meant it in a most literal way – nothing to do with those inflated housing prices and people driving them up, making insane profits by the house flipping craze.

No, I was referring to the millions of people who lost their homes to foreclosure and eviction. I’m not saying most didn’t borrow irresponsibly, but many of these people were ignorant and were taken advantage of. The banks knew that these were irresponsible loans but the laws encouraged them and a lot of people suffered greatly because of this mess.

      2. @michelle-lee Just like the community organizer oliar did while the demons lied through their teeth when Pres. Bush questioned them about Freddie and Fanny Mae.

      3. For once SNL nailed it – classic sketch about Soros and the liar loans – too bad they were sued to recant their claims about Soros, it but it is still floating around the net.

The sketch exposed the real cause for the 2008 Housing bubble bursts- as you say, the Clinton social justiece housing demands. And ACORN’s thug enforcers to make sure enough liar-loans got handed out.

  21. She’s also completely wrong about the Bible’s proscription against usury, as explained by Ryan Saavedra….

“In context, usury in the Old Testament was when a fellow Jew would charge interest to a fellow Jew. There was no requirement set for interest on a loan to those outside the household of faith,” Burns said. “For example, after the Babylonian captivity, the Jews were rebuilding their homes and needed money. There were wealthy Jews who allowed their brothers to borrow money yet charged them interest, which was forbidden in the law God gave Moses. Thus, Nehemiah and Ezra informed the lenders they must remove the interest charges, which they did.”

“This would be similar to a son or daughter borrowing a thousand dollars and the mom or dad charging interest,” Burns continued. “It is something that most families would never do. This is the same principle God established for the Jews among their brothers. They were all in a covenant family.”

But not knowing what she’s talking about has never stopped AOC from shooting off her mouth. Because, you know, as she has informed us, it’s more important to be “morally right” (which apparently the Bible isn’t) than “100% factually right.”

    1. Charli, you got it right. AOC is one of many progressives who are barely Bible literate if not completely ignorant. Oh they know some scriptures but I’m sure that they just Google a few that fits their narrative without knowing the context of that scripture. Also, people like AOC don’t really know God. They think that He thinks and acts just like them and would do as they would do. They also don’t understand God’s love and mercy. They think God’s love means that He’d give them whatever they want regardless of harm just to make them happy. In other words they think God is a type of hyper-indulgent Sugar Daddy who never tells His little angels no to anything because, you know, happiness or some such bilge. What they don’t know or understand is that God is a GOOD father who expects His children to behave with discipline following if they don’t and who denies us things that will hurt us and it’s all because He really and truly does care about us. That’s why He loves us enough to tell us not to do certain things. Those mature in the faith understand this. But AOC and many on the Left are spoiled infantile brats who just keep demanding that God do what they ask. But God IS merciful and patient and is giving them time to repent of their wicked and selfish ways but one day (sooner than we think) His mercy and patience will come to an end and it will be a shock to many like AOC that God is not and never has been the “tolerant” sappy foolish “daddy” that they want Him to be.

  27. If AOC wants Biblical teaching, how about applying the Bible verse If any man will not work, neither let him eat” to her Green New Deal. After all she promised a salary to those “unable or unwilling” to work.

  28. AOC is a fruitless piece of work. She is what she is and will be nothing more than that. I think they used to call people like her “an empty suit.” She fits that description to a T. But that how she looks to me. PS She doesn’t know God’s word for toffee!

  29. Why, it’s almost like she’s not a believer in Christian doctrine at all, but wants to cherry-pick any teachings that might be politically useful while lecturing actual believers on their hypocrisy….

But she’s more moral than you lousy religious bigots, because she’s a modern progressive, and therefore smarter than all those backwards Christians.

Maybe the word I’m looking for is “sanctimonious.”

    1. false ‘Christians’ cherry pick what they want to believe, and change the gospel to suit their Satanic inspired ideology-

    2. They don’t believe in the bible unless they think it makes Christians look bad or them look good.

  30. Comes across as a pubescent social media poster and progressive for name calling and trying to shame people into her point of view, having no desire, or ability, to reason with them.

  31. She is either an immature 5 year old girl in the body of a grown woman or she’s demon possessed. Either way, it’s not good.

  32. Why is anyone taking anything she says about the Bible or being a Christian seriously? She’s TROLLING!

She has an obvious repulsion of anything Biblical or Christian (curiously, Muslims have her undying respect!). Hopefully she will lead her worthless Party right off the cliff.

    1. @nc checks and balances She thought she’d be cute using that halo emoticon as a dig, too.

  33. Here is an interesting video of residents within AOC’s district which should put a smile on your face. Your welcome. 😀

  34. She conveniently forgot the disdain for tax collectors in the bible. Tax collectors who look an awful lot like Democrats.

  35. I’ve got three words for you AOC,shut up stupid! On second thought keep talking! Nothing illustrates absurdity like the absurd! You are nothing if not absurd!

  36. A true socialist. Uses what they think their enemies believe to drive their arguments.

  37. If AOC wants Biblical teaching, how about applying the Bible verse If any man will not work, neither let him eat” to her Green New Deal. After all she promised a salary to those “unable or unwilling” to work.

  38. As a Christian, I am getting pretty tired of the leftists trying to use the Word of God to push their satanic agendas. They are as much “Christian” as I am a platypus.

    1. So do we need to add a P for those who think they are platypus to please everyone – LGBTQHP

  39. AOC is a fruitless piece of work. She is what she is and will be nothing more than that. I think they used to call people like her “an empty suit.” She fits that description to a T. But that how she looks to me. PS She doesn’t know God’s word for toffee!

  40. I always find it interesting when people who reject G-d and Jesus tell others how to be Christian.

    1. It’s mostly because they think if God were real He’d think and be exactly like them. They have a god and it’s made in their image with their character, their morality, their petty meanness, their total love of self and anything else that they want in a god who would and should give them everything that they want. It’s why they say that God would love them instead of real believers for having all out promiscuous sex, aborting their innocent children who’s only crime was to be conceived just because it got in the way of their “happiness”, their drunkenness, their drugging, their violence towards anyone who disagrees with them, their obscene need for power over others, their twisting of the physical universe to accomplish their perverseness, etc., etc. I could go on but I think you get my drift, sigh.

    2. The non-Christians on the other hand don’t want to have to admit wrongdoing so they want their sin accepted as okay by everyone, and demand we all get on the express train to Hell.

  41. For a person that supposedly was an economics major she is incapable of thinking two steps past her stupid policy ideas. Interest rates are a price set by supply of loanable funds and the demand for them.
The lender’s compensation for lending out the funds and not having them to use/consume for the period of the loan is the interest paid by the borrower. Not every borrower has the same risk of default. In order to compensate the lender for the default risk of a borrower, the interest rate will be adjusted to reflect that risk.
What will happen to loans available to lower income/high risk borrowers if we try to cap lending rates? Obvious answer is there will be less lenders willing to lend and less loanable funds available and more loans demanded. In other words, a shortage of loans for high risk borrowers. Don’t worry though like most statists, AOC knows exactly where the price should be set at (sarc).

  42. In Mark 12:17, Yeshua says to rend unto Caesar, what belongs to Caesar. Conservative President Calvin Coolidge – a Christian, by the way – stated:

    Revelation 22:18-19

    1. 1 million ^^^^^^^^’s!!! Thank you for the post. I really admire Calvin Coolidge (Republican) who while he was president oversaw THE biggest depression in our country’s history. People think that what came to be called The Great Depression was the biggest but it wasn’t by any stretch. The depression that came from the Crash of 1929, also known as the Great Depression, was the longest though and made so by Democrat monetary policies. That long period was what caused most if not all the damage. The depression under Coolidge though while of much larger scope and ferocity was so short that most people didn’t notice it much. Coolidge’s policies saw to that. He applied good financial practices and turned it around very quickly. FDR on the other hand used real Voodoo economics to try and fix the economy and manage to give us one of the biggest financial disasters ever.

And you’re correct about private ownership of property. If you think you own your property then miss paying a tax somewhere or not keeping it up to the city’s standards and then see who owns your property! It’s also one of the latter reasons why we made sure we didn’t buy a home where there was an HOA. Little tin gods who want to tell me what I can and cannot do with my own property? I think not!!

      1. I bought a house in a neighborhood with an HOA once, but never again.
On the other hand, I didn’t have to look at some jerks old boat or beat up RV parked in his driveway year around.

  43. I hate to say this, but I have to agree with the little chica on interest rates. It is Usury. When you make a hundred dollar payment on your Visa card, and only $24 goes to the balance that, my friends, is USURY, and I’d like to see Trump address the issue.

    1. SGirl, if you pay $100 and only $24 goes to the balance, you don’t have a credit card, you have a Loan Shark. 😯

          1. My sister and brother in law “acquired” about 8500 in credit card debt several years back. My sister couldn’t understand why she had trouble paying down the principal when only paying a little more than the required interest payment. That was all they could afford at the time because of their lifestyle.
They finally got out of it when my parents bailed them out and now thankfully only use credit card for emergencies or regular/predictable expenditures that get paid off on the first bill. I hope they stick with it.

    2. Don’t hate on a company that you entered in to an contract with just because you think that it is somehow unfair now. Did you not know the interest rate when you made the purchase/s? If you did, then you agreed to the terms and have buyer’s remorse now. If you didn’t know the interest rate then you entered into a contract without knowing the conditions and hopefully you won’t do so again.
Also if your payment was $100 and $24 went towards paying down the principle, then you are letting the credit card company take your money.
Best advice is to pay your principle off each bill if you can. This way you build up your credit score but also don’t throw away a lot of your hard earned money on interest. We do this all the time and pay zero in interest payments to our Visa card.
Save the pain of interest payments for actual big investments like a house, car, college etc…Try to avoid borrowing for entertainment, consumption, non investment purchases.
This is a lesson that my wife and I learned a long time ago.

      1. It’s also possible to take out a lower interest loan to pay off the high-interest card… unless you have a bad credit rating.

          1. Most of these people have maxed out their credit already and can’t get a low interest loan. And it doesn’t take much. We had problems years ago through job loss.

And BTW, starting this past Tax year (2018) you stopped being able to deduct your interest for home equity loans unless they were actually being used for home improvement. So you can’t just use them to pay off credit card dept and then deduct the interest on your taxes.

    3. I agree. CC interest rates should be tied to the prime rate like they used to be. That way if the interest rates drop, such as they have now, the CC rates drop. Instead the CC issuers are like loan shark rates even though prime is next to nothing. I think there does

The banks are greedy & wanting to give everyone a credit card even if they’re a poor risk and then make it impossible to pay off. Those who are a poor risk should not get credit cards. Of course if people learn to handle money they might not get credit cards at all and the banks don’t want that to happen!

      1. Yes banks are greedy but so is everyone. I have yet to meet any individual that doesn’t desire a little more of this or that for either themselves, loved ones or friends. Contentment is a state that is against human nature and that is why the risk and reward incentives of free market capitalism works well to the extent that government allows it. Every trade people make whether it is buying or selling, each side wishes to get a little more than they actually do. The seller want an a little more for the product or their service/labor while the buyer wants to pay less or recieve more for the same price. However when the exchange happens, both sides come out better then they went in. Otherwise why would they have done the exchange?

With that being said, credit card users that agree to certain terms and interest rates are saying that the money borrowed and the needs that money fulfills is worth more to them than the principle and interest they will have to pay. Of course, they may change their mind later and have buyers remorse but at the time of the exchange that wasn’t the case. Setting a price ceiling such as prime or prime +2% will only produce a shortage of loanable funds. This means their will be more people willing to borrow at the designated ceiling rate but not enough lenders to supply the funds. that financial capital will find another area to be put to use and earn a return consistent with what the owners want.
I use to think similar things about prices and how they should be set or how their range should should be designated. I’ve realized now that price controls only screw things up even though the results are not always obvious. Thomas Sowell’s Basic Economics is a brilliant book that lays out all of the problems with how govt controls including price controls (even well intended) result in severe and far reaching negative consequences . It’s a big read but if you are interested in Free Market economics especially when compared to other economics systems, it is a difficult book to put down.

  44. Bible also shows how mad everyone was at the tax collectors raking them over the coals and called them the worstmlm

  45. Ooh ooh, I know what was on J-Mao’s Word Of the Day calendar today!

And yet, she still failed to understand it correctly.

  46. She might make more sense if she was a drug addict. Leftists know they are losing the argument/battle when they have to resort to using the Bible. She pretends to actually know what it means… Maybe God will reach her black little heart by this? She’s still grotesque.

    1. They don’t believe in the bible unless they think it makes Christians look bad or them look good.

  48. Comes across as a pubescent social media poster and progressive for name calling and trying to shame people into her point of view, having no desire, or ability, to reason with them.

  50. She conveniently forgot the disdain for tax collectors in the bible. Tax collectors who look an awful lot like Democrats.

  51. A true socialist. Uses what they think their enemies believe to drive their arguments.

  52. As a Christian, I am getting pretty tired of the leftists trying to use the Word of God to push their satanic agendas. They are as much “Christian” as I am a platypus.

    1. So do we need to add a P for those who think they are platypus to please everyone – LGBTQHP

  54. I hate to say this, but I have to agree with the little chica on interest rates. It is Usury. When you make a hundred dollar payment on your Visa card, and only $24 goes to the balance that, my friends, is USURY, and I’d like to see Trump address the issue.
