AOC says minorities don’t like environmentalism because of all the “colonial” cauliflower…. huh?

In a really weird post on Instagram, the Democrats’ foremost authority on agriculture and everything says planting cauliflower is COLONIALISM and that’s why minorities hate environmentalism.

Huh?!

I’M SERIOUS THAT’S WHAT SHE SAID:

“What I love too is growing plants that are culturally familiar to the community. It’s so important,” she said as she filmed a community garden in the Bronx.

“So that’s really how you do it right. That is such a core component of the Green New Deal is having all of these projects make sense in a cultural context, and it’s an area that we get the most pushback on because people say, ‘Why do you need to do that? That’s too hard.’”

She went on to add that growing cauliflower in such gardens is a “colonial approach” and the reason communities of color oppose environmentalist movements.

“But when you really think about it — when someone says that it’s ‘too hard’ to do a green space that grows Yucca instead of, I don’t know, cauliflower or something — what you’re doing is you’re taking a colonial approach to environmentalism,” Ocasio-Cortez said.

“That is why a lot of communities of color get resistant to certain environmentalist movements because they come with the colonial lens on them.”

WHAT THE EFF ARE YOU TALKING ABOUT?!?!?

Honestly, sometimes we go a little nuts on the right and pretend liberals are dumber than they are, or we exaggerate the dumb things they say, but in this case, man, AOC is just a moron. This makes zero sense. I have never, in all my time making fun of liberals, heard them talking about cauliflower as a colonialist produce. Incredible.

Is it because it’s white?

I guess we can add the Conquistador Cauliflower to the dastardly Dr. Garbage Disposal to the gallery of AOC’s greatest villains.

  1. Cauliflower is very obviously a racist vegetable, anyone can see that.
It is rumored that even David Duke once ate some, need more proof
than that? I don’t think so.

“What I love too is growing plants that are culturally familiar to the community. It’s so important,” OK, but at some point you have to have nourishment in your diet and
I’m not sure smoking weed gives you that.

  2. This is a vicious circle for OAC…….if left unchecked by the GND, the climate in the Bronx will support growing tropical gardens in 12 years. However, implementing the GND will save the climate, leaving those in the Bronx only able to grow white cauliflower. She needs to go back to her thinking box and think some more thinks.

How awful must it be to see politics in everything around you and not the beauty of the world.

  3. The stupid is strong with this one.

Besides, if I’m gonna grow something, it’s NOT going to be cauliflower! This middle-aged white man wants some peppers, or some watermelon, or some farting cows with baked potatoes….

    1. @eric Shes’ not talking about food. It’s just an analogy. I think she’s wrong but she’s being misunderstood.

  4. I don’t know how AOC graduated from kindergarten let alone college. She must have been one of those kids they passed through school to get rid of her. SMH

    1. She’s REALLY good at cleaning chalkboards – getting rid of the white so we can see the black.

    1. @airforcevet98 I know what you mean. A few years ago, we would have been reading this sort of thing in the Onion or Mad Magazine or something. But here we are.

  5. Sandy Succotash says only eat native beans and corn. But isn’t corn row slave stuff. And beans are insulting peasent food.

Chips okay- native “new world” food. Ketsup & french fries –both politically correct. Yo, I am digging it, Sandy.

At least i know not to eat Ben and Jerry’s leftist, virtue-signaling ice cream.

  6. Vegetables now have both a class of victims as well as a class of the “privileged . ” Who knew? I demand congress pass a vegetable equality act!

    1. Actually, of all the veggies, the cauliflower most looks like the human brain; clearly AOC hates intelligence and is fighting to ban it as a threat to all. That woman can never be permitted to hold higher office…..NEVER! She would be one of those crazy, banana republic foreign dictators who let their people starve and who shoots off rockets to show how strong she is, never realizing that she could be removed from the Earth in a heartbeat.

  7. Why try to make sense of what a moron says? It’s just going to hurt you. My suggestion, unless aoc says something or does something really note worthy, save her stupidity for a once a week article, highlighting all of her stupid comments.

  8. Listening or reading anything this moron says or writes is painful. What the heck is she talking about? What a pathetic moron.

  9. Yucca ? They should grow Yucca in the bronx, because it isn;t colonial ?
These things she says here are non sequiturs.
    Yucca
“They are native to the hot and dry (arid) parts of the Americas and the Caribbean.”I guess you could grow it in the Bronx. But for what ?
It isn’t going to feed anyone, and it cuts your leg when you walk by. My wife planted it in our colonial garden. I hate it.

  10. Minorities don’t like environmentalism because every solution raises the cost of living for those with low and middle income.

  11. I feel sad for anyone who views vegetables through the lens of race. AOC shouldn’t be allowed anywhere near public office. She’s a menace to society. Put her back behind the bar where the only damage she can do is to drinks.

  12. I thought about this more last night and have come to the conclusion that AOC just fell off the turnip truck.

  13. Moronic doesn’t even describe her anymore! She just says anything that comes to her pea brain and out of her pie-hole. I thinking the “actress” thing is really getting to her head and she actually thinks she’s smart and an actual legislator. Ugh, stop the world, I want to get off!!! :facepalmg: :facepalmg: :facepalmg: :facepalmg: :facepalmg:

  14. So, I read the comments below before watching the video…then I made the mistake of watching the video 😕

“composting…that there…is actually a core component of the green new deal.” I sure hope her district WAKES UP to her absolute idiocy before the next election, thankful that representatives are only given TWO YEAR TERMS. 16,000 people elected her. Morons!

…I continued watching after posting…now she is a community project specialist…from bartender to EXPERT in ALL things…amazing and ridiculous! who is filling her brain with all this hogwash?

  15. “So that’s really how you do it right.”
    ————————
I don’t care what she says after that. Why should anyone listen to this know-it-all who thinks she’s got all all the answers AND wants to run everyone’s lives?

Mind your own garden and your own business, little girl. You sound like a five year old who’s too big for her britches.

    1. I have not doubt that she will now whine that she was taken out of context by a bunch of racists. sigh. These liberal progressive are tiresome and boring.

  16. Huh? That is some serious word salad right there. It doesn’t even make sense. No understandable line of thought whatsoever. Cauliflower belongs to a group of vegetables that originate in the Northeastern Mediterranean region. Can someone tell me what is in that region? That’s rhetorical. This group of vegetables has been around for 2000 years – you know since colonialists and colonialism. That’s just a quick summary of what my hubby just read off to me about these vegetables. For AOC, it gets worse since these foods have been around in S. America and Africa for a millenia or so. Can it get any stupider?

    1. @squirrelly “…serious word salad…”

You got that right! She’s speaking like an elitist college grad that thinks she’s smarter than everyone else and intentionally talks in a fashion that (she thinks) makes her sound smarter than everyone else.

Anyone that reads her comment is going to ask “what the eff is she talking about”? Instead of trying to sound smart she should work on her communication skills.

  17. I imagine most minorities (or all people) prefer something that makes sense (since the GND doesn’t) and doesn’t cost dramatically more (like the GND will).

  18. Because everything about America is bad. She might as well just say it. It’s what she thinks.

We’re gonna have to come up with more extreme words to describe her extreme stupidity.

    1. @muckjumper Not with her running the country! It’ll be sunshine, lollipops and rainbows!

      1. Oh my gosh! You’re right! I forget that her intellect is superior… that Leftists and Socialists know what’s best for their hosts, I mean victims, I mean subjects, I mean…

        Good point.

  19. Ignorance. Confusion. Distraction. Division. These are all effective tools of The Left. And evil. But I digress.

  20. WOW our tax money paying this empty space for at least two years!! We’re finishing up 5 months of a 24 month term and what have the house done? Thankfully the same amount that’s in AOC head!

    1. @trapper1960s Thankfully, they haven’t gotten anything done because of their stupid witch hunt. That’s the only good news coming out of the House. They’re so obsessed with their impeachment talk that they aren’t trying to ruin the country more than they already have.

  21. I know all the words she’s using. But they don’t make sense in the order in which she presented them.

  22. Jim Bohannon interviewed (Daniel?) Lippman from Politico, who reiterated that it would be bad for the Democrats to impeach Tromp. However, the most interesting item that I gleaned was that there are five separate committees investigating the president. Five? Really? What the heck?

    1. HOUSE JUDICIARY COMMITTEE – Nadler
HOUSE OVERSIGHT AND REFORM COMMITTEE – Cummings
HOUSE WAYS AND MEANS COMMITTEE – Neal
      HOUSE INTELLIGENCE COMMITTEE – Schiff
HOUSE FINANCIAL SERVICES COMMITTEE – Waters

      Everyone wants a piece.

      1. @ttt No kidding. When will they find the time to fight global warming and pass common sense gun control?

    2. A democrat could reach “Kennedy-like” fame and power if they could figuratively bag trophy Trump (be the instrument of his downfall). It really is an obsession and disgusting.

      1. @Sentinel Yeah, I mentioned that it’s an obsession yesterday. Liberalism truly is a mental illness.

  23. Is she being racist? It seems like she’s trying to be a good little Leftist and tell minorities what to eat. While using “stereotypical” foods (you know… that minorities like) to lure them into her nightmare.

  24. Is she saying growing Latino type foods but all others are bad? I am kinda lost here. So would broccoli represent dominant power over cauliflower? What about apples? Yeah….what?

  25. AOC, the queen of social media, has done it again! She has vowed that, under HER Green New Deal, cauliflower will be banished from NYC because it is “too colonial.” She claims that community crops should only contain the fruits and veggies of the native lands of those who live in the Bronx and other areas she claims to represent….aka: tropical fruits and vegetables of Puerto Rico, Jamaica, African nations, etc. (oh yes, she did: https://www.foxnews.com/politics/ocasio-cortez-growing-cauliflower-colonial)

This woman is clearly a liar and a fraud who claims to be vegan and to grow her own veggies ~ BS!! Cruciferous vegetables, potatoes, peas, apples, cranberries, etc., grow in colder regions. What does she propose instead? Growing coconuts, plantains, citrus and mangoes in NYC instead, since those are the tropical fruits of Puerto Rico and the Islands, where many in her area came from originally? Can everyone in the Bronx afford to purchase, build and maintain a greenhouse to accomplish this? What a disingenuous idiot!

  26. If she had the power to nationalize farming and dictate how it should be done, she would cause mass starvation just like all previous socialist dictators have. Puerto Ricans don’t eat cauliflower because it doesn’t grow there, just like yucca doesn’t grow in New York. This has nothing to do with colonialism or racism. What an ignorant, know-it-all child.

  27. I think what she’s trying to say is that if you’re bossy (colonial) with some communities about enforcing your conventional notion (cauliflower) of environmentalism, they won’t accept it. You need to work to subvert them slowly and carefully by working within their culture (yucca).

but in this case, man, AOC is just a moron

Well, yeah. She’s smart enough to be able to keep her mouth moving and have words come out. She’s too stupid to have those words make sense without a decoder ring. And no, it’s not because the concepts she’s expressing are so difficult. I described her concept in plain English up above, and I haven’t had any coffee yet today.

Stupid people make simple concepts difficult to understand. Smart people make difficult concepts easy to understand.

    Reminds me of this: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WALIARHHLII

    1. @ttt You know, I thought about that a bit, and that’s why Dr. Krauthammer, Dr. Sowell and others like them are so gifted, they’re brilliant men who make the most difficult concepts accessible to common folk like me.

      1. If you like physics or even are curious about it, one of my favorites is Richard Feynman. He was brilliant enough to not only be able understand quantum mechanics at the highest level, but he could also explain it with humor – all with an almost ridiculous New York (Queens) accent.

    1. She just knows so much that isn’t so. Spoiled brat who’s been told she’s the smartest princess in the room far too often.

    2. @boscobolt Being retarded is something a person is born with and have no control over . What that fool represents is pure hate for our Country, the innocent unborn and anything good and decent.

  28. Should be a pretty successful garden, what with all the culturally familiar compost coming out of her mouth

  29. After seeing this clip…..

Now she lectures on which veggie that certain people eat.

But really not sure who is the dumber here…..the people who voted for this box of rocks or her.

  30. It bears repeating, AOC is merely parroting lines and ideas of her handlers, such as those put forth by Cornell University professor, Robert Hockett. The reason it doesn’t sound like AOC knows what she’s talking about is because AOC in fact doesn’t know what she’s talking about.

  31. for those of you who have seen the Movie “being there” starring Peter Sellers and Shirley MacLaine, does this bring back memories. For me she just raised the Gardner’s [Peter Sellers] IQ by 100 points.

    1. One of my absolute favorite movies. And you couldn’t be more right. By any measure of stupid AOC easily outperforms Chance the Gardener.

      1. Thanks Ush I enjoyed all of his movies, especially “The Pink Panther” ones.Having a law enforcement background I tried using all his techniques in solving cases,Didn’t quite work for me though.Have a nice evening Ush

    1. Hey Landscaper help me out here, what did she just say, something about including more vegetables in your diet

    2. Yes, and Italian. It was brought to the USA in the late 1700’s. As with all cruciferous vegetables (broccoli, cabbage, cauliflower, Brussels Sprouts, etc.) cauliflower is known to cause, in many cases, copious amounts of flatulence in all who eat it, so I am thinking she left out the part about banning it because of that, which is also why she wants cows banned. OFF WITH THEIR HEADS (to make cauliflower mash)! Let’s have a steak tonight too 😉

  32. AOC dumb comments generate SooperMexican ‘s best wit and sarcasm that is articulated so well that the reader can grasp the writer’s emotions. I hope that made sense.

    1. @danaellen

Her ideas are used to fertilize her “politically correct” vegetables. Sooper provides the sunshine. 😳

  33. Why haven’t they made her speaker of the house? I am being dead serious, Pelosi is nothing by a figurehead and everyone knows the that radical inmates are running the asylum.

That way it’s more easily for the people of the country see what kind of clown show the dims are running.

    1. AOC does have certain advantages over Pelosi. They’re both nutjob radicals regurgitating BS they’ve been fed, but one of them appears to be sober. The other one…not so much.

  34. Why haven’t they made her speaker of the house? I am being dead serious, Pelosi is nothing by a figurehead and everyone knows the that radical inmates are running the asylum.

  35. I just love that the Dems have to justify and rationalize for this chicklet. If these were the days of the Clintons, Hillary would have already shut her up.

  36. There is no reasoning with insanity.

My grandma was suffering from Alzheimer’s and became frantically worried about money, “…but where will we stay? We don’t have any money…”

My mom cared for her and assured her they had money and my mom had a good job. My mom paid the rent 3 months in advance just to prove to my grandma they wouldn’t be thrown out on the street. My grandma persisted with nightly near panic attacks.

One day, my sister went to visit. In the living room, my mom had stacks of 1, 5, and 10 dollar bills everywhere – thousands of dollars – in an attempt to prove to my grandma they wouldn’t become homeless. My grandma responded, “…but after this is gone, what will we do?”

Trying to rationalize insanity is an exercise in futility.

  37. This woman is a snowflake, an ignorant snowflake. 15 states in our country passed a law that allows illegal immigrants head of household to make unlimited money and their family is sil eligible for all benefits. A family of 5, legal citizens, if the head of household makes over24,000 is not eligible for benefits. I personally know an illegal who bragged about making 200,000 the previous year and his family still is on government benefits. When iI at top the state in which I now reside, it took me almost 30 days to get my driver’s license transferred from my previous state. On my first day of attempting to get a license, 2 illegals came into the DMV and 30 minutes later left with their driver’s license. Theu couldn’t even speak English. I pointed this out to the clerk and she shrugged her shoulders and said to change my name to Jose. OUR COUNTRY HAS A TERRIBLE DISEASE

  48. So, at the end of the stupid video (yes, I let it run), you find her advising that people shouldn’t “come in and tell a community what they should do”. How ironic.

  49. Newsflash AOC. Most all of us like environmentalism, the sane flavor. You know, don’t pollute our rivers and streams, smog control/air quality, fire hazards, conservationism. Most sane adults go for that. What you peddle is for the coked out idiots with bong resin rattling around in their skull.

    1. When I was a little girl, I remember they started the “don’t be a litterbug” campaign. It made a big impression on me – you don’t throw your trash on the ground outside just like you don’t do inside your own home. It’s a lesson that really stuck, and I have lived my life never littering.

Remember the Tea Party rallies? There famously wasn’t any littering there either.

      1. @nc You generally don’t find crime, even something as petty as littering, at any conservative gathering. I’ll bet that crews are cleaning up all of the PP rallies from yesterday as we speak.

      2. @nc checks and balances I attended tea party rallies in Minnesota as well as Glenn Beck’s “Restoring Honor” rally in Washington, DC with over a half million people there. I can tell you that we left the place clean on both counts. In DC, they didn’t have enough garbage containers so you saw posters stacked up next to the garbage cans and the lawns were perfect (except they were a little flat from all of the traffic).

As my kids and I left the rally in DC, we decided to go to the Smithsonian and came upon the stupid Al Sharpton counter protest. I’m sure those idiots didn’t respect the environment like we conservatives did. Hah!

I saw video and photos of the Presidential Inauguration for Obama and there was trash everywhere. What a difference if you just pick up after yourself. I always know when someone is conservative or leftist because you can tell by how much trash is left after the event.

  51. Well here’s another example of not being able to fix stupid. Many of the fruits and vegetables that are culturally familiar to many immigrants won’t even grow in their new communities. This goofball doesn’t even have a rudimentary knowledge of agriculture. She thinks agriculture is just sticking a few seeds in some dirt and “Voila!” she’s got food! And she can’t figure out why we don’t bow down to her as the Enviro-Queen of the Perpetually Green Thumb?

    1. @boscobolt Nah, she’s brainwashed. Not that there’s much of a difference.

    Reminds me of this: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WALIARHHLII

    1. @ttt Barroom eyes shine vacancy
To see her you gotta look hard
      – Bruce Springsteen

  70. And anyone not liking blackberries is just a racist. I personally welcome all our non-white produce overlords.

  72. Vegetables now have both a class of victims as well as a class of the “privileged . “ Who knew? I demand congress pass a vegetable equality act!

  74. for those of you who have seen the Movie “being there” starring Peter Sellers and Shirley MacLaine, does this bring back memories.

        1. In the movie, after he leaves the old man’s house, just goes walking and ends up in the ghetto, and he asked a group of black kids that question…. the one replies: “Who sent you boy?!? Did that chicken-sh** a**hole Rafael send you?”

  75. I am an intelligent woman,, but I’ll be d-mned if I could ever understand this person, or any of the democrats for that matter. Guess I’m getting stupid in my doddering years, I am not “woke”.

    1. The problem is that we are too woke. So woke that we can tell who is not sitting around reading The Federalist Papers—which is AOC and her ilk.

      1. I have not heard that word since I was a youngster in the Military.Long hikes with full gear till late at night, get back to the barracks at midnight,up for breakfast then onto classes, then your favorite Sgt. would hit you on the back with his little orchestra stick and then yell loudly ,” I want you men to stay Awoke.”Then we would thank him for keeping us awoke. He always told us you people will thank me for keeping you awoke, when this is all over.We did.

    2. Agreed. I am in my 60’s and and hope to escape before this country goes too far down the toilet with these indoctrinated idiots who pass for “smart.” Perhaps AOC’s father and mother did too much LSD in the 60’s and 70’s, but if the democrats are what pass for intelligence in this world today, I am rooting for the cauliflower. Stop the Earth! I wanna get off!!!

  76. in this day and age of artificial intelligence…AOC demonstrates that there is also genuine ignorance

  78. I am 100% convinced this woman has a word-of-the-day calendar on her desk. The other day it was usury. Today it’s colonial. It’s like she gets the word stuck in her head, and then decides to use it repeatedly throughout the day.

    1. It would be nice if her calendar included a definition and some examples of usage, and not just a random word.

    2. She does pretty good with ambiguous words.Just having a great time today, preparing to go to Riverside National Cemetery Sunday and the day itself to view all those flags waving and the beautiful flowers decorating the Graves, and my Beautiful Wife being their protected by all those wonderful and Brave American solders. Have a great Memorial Weekend

      1. @bigsir74 My two cousins are buried there, it’s a beautiful place. He was a WWII Vet. God rest the souls of all those who lie there.

        1. Thanks NC. WW11 and part of out Greatest Generation and one of the reasons is what they accomplished during that War.Tremendous Heros including Audie Murphy

  79. She didn’t say that growing cauliflower was a colonial produce. She was using that as an analogy of the behavior of a group and could have used any food in it’s place…like watermelon (but that would be racist, lol).

She’s basically saying that they don’t like change or to accept ideas outside of their realm. They grow watermelon (or cauliflower) and don’t understand why it’s necessary to grow something else. But that’s just an analogy and it’s not about food at all. It’s about being open to environmentalism….a new approach.

In reality they may be resistant because they think she’s full of crap.

      1. @eric Lol, I had to read it closely to even understand what the heck she was talking about. She’s talking like a Harvard elitist intentionally expressing herself in a way that makes her sound intelligent.

        1. There is no way this (insert what ever word works) is near to sounding minutely intelligent.

          1. @democratsrfubar I agree, but she’s talking like she’s giving a response to a teacher trying to impress the teacher with her brilliance rather than speaking in a way where anyone else can understand what the heck she’s talking about.

        2. @kong1967 – I’m impressed you could make any sense of it. How confident are you that this is what she actually means? Too bad we can’t ask her for clarification. (Even if we could she would likely find some reason to lambast us as being the problem…)

As for me, I read it closely, and then read it again, and then realized I have no idea what she was saying. Intelligence is worthless if you can’t communicate ideas to simpletons like me.

          1. @eric Lol, you’re not a simpleton. Even the most intelligent people among us don’t talk in the way she did. It’s not an intelligence thing. It’s about communication skills and talking in a way where people can understand what you say. If they have to analyze what you say just to have a clue what you’re saying, you’re not doing it right. She’s not doing it right, and I think she’s doing it on purpose because she wants to sound smart.

          2. @eric In my own mind I’m pretty confident that I’m interpreting her correctly, but that’s in my own mind. I could be completely wrong.

          3. Don’t beat yourself up. She’s expressing a basic concept using a bizarre analogy without explaining herself very well. It’s her problem, not the people trying to decipher her code.

    1. I honestly thought she was saying growing your own food is a colonialist thing. And I think to myself, EVERYONE grew crops back in the day. Food didn’t grow at the local Wal-Mart like it does now. I also wondered if she was trying to connect gardening with colonialism a/k/a slavery, and people “of color” are adverse to growing their own food because slavery and therefore cannot be environmentalists. It’s a very jumbled line of thought to try and follow, and you know everything is gymnastics to always end up at some kind of made up racism.

      1. @squirrelly I think the food part was just an analogy because she mixes it in with the bigger picture of environmentalism as a whole concept. She did it in the middle of her comment and at the end where she said

“That is why a lot of communities of color get resistant to certain environmentalist movements because they come with the colonial lens on them.”

That’s a general statement about why blacks reject environmentalism. She’s making an excuse why blacks think the environmentalist movement is full of crap. They aren’t alone. We all think she’s full of crap too!

    2. Yeah, it’s both a justification for why some communities (probably poor urban ones) reject her green new deal enema, and advice on working with them through their cultural totems in order to bring them around.

I definitely agree with your last sentence.

      1. @nancy To an extent. I mean, I don’t have a problem with Mexican culture seeping in with ours as long as they assimilate and learn English. But as far as Islamic culture? No freaking way. You cannot be a Muslim and believe in the structure of the U.S. government and freedom of all religions. That is one culture where it’s not possible to blend. Kick all of them out!

If Islam grows in the United States they will eventually try to force Islam on everyone through policies and laws.

    1. @airforcevet98 I know what you mean. A few years ago, we would have been reading this sort of thing in the Onion or Mad Magazine or something. But here we are.

  81. I don’t know how AOC graduated from kindergarten let alone college. She must have been one of those kids they passed through school to get rid of her. SMH

    1. She’s REALLY good at cleaning chalkboards – getting rid of the white so we can see the black.

  82. I really don’t see Washington or Jefferson being cauliflower kind of guys. They seem more like the collard greens, yellow squash and black eyed peas fellas to me.

  83. What is she saying exactly? That people should only plant vegetables that are native to their ethnic origins? I need mini-AOC to help me understand her.

    1. @watchman It’s just an analogy and it’s not about food. She’s saying they aren’t open to new ideas from outside sources. They have their way of doing things and they don’t understand why it needs to change.

  84. Ugh…someone just put a gag in her mouth already! Spare Americans her nonsense & stupidity.

  85. Someone better tell Oprah that her NEW fancy smancy Cauliflower Frozen Pizza crust will have to come off the shelves. #smh

      1. @kong1967 – I’m not talking about food either. Isn’t it obvious that I was referring to the NFL Draft?
        ++++++++
Though you may be right, her analogy is completely lost on me, and I’m concerned you may have a fever if you are able to make any sense of it at all.

        1. @eric I don’t agree with her analogy at all. She’s making an excuse for why blacks don’t buy into her environmentalism crap. She should have just said “blacks think I’m full of crap”. Instead, she has to say they just don’t understand.

    1. You’re from NY, right? Is yucca native to the Bronx? Is it even found anywhere east of the Mississippi naturally?

      1. Actually @txgrunner I lived in Brooklyn then my family moved to Jersey
when I was eight years old (within sight of the NY skyline) and in my forties
I moved to South Florida where I’ve lived since.

Anyway, I never saw or heard of yucca till I moved to Florida. I don’t think
it would grow very well in the North. There are many variations of this
plant, the one I’m most familiar with is the Spanish Bayonet, so called
because of its extremely sharp points on the end of its leaves. Some folks
down here will plant it by windows to discourage nighttime break ins.

Of course it won’t replace an easily accessed hand gun.

  89. I am an intelligent woman,, but I’ll be d-mned if I could ever understand this person, or any of the democrats for that matter. Guess I’m getting stupid in my doddering years, I am not “woke”.

  90. I am an intelligent woman,, but I’ll be d-mned if I could ever understand this person, or any of the democrats for that matter. Guess I’m getting stupid in my doddering years, I am not “woke”.
