Last night after the bombshell news that the Supreme Court had voted to overturn Roe v Wade, the socialist/authoritarian side of Democrats quickly came out.
AOC called for Biden to subvert the Constitution on this issue and others, saying he needed to “break through Congressional gridlock” because people’s “equality is on the line”:
People elected Democrats precisely so we could lead in perilous moments like these- to codify Roe, hold corruption accountable, & have a President who uses his legal authority to break through Congressional gridlock on items from student debt to climate.

If we don’t, what message does that send? We can’t sit around, finger point, & hand wring as people’s futures + equality are on the line.
It’s time to be decisive, lead with confidence, fight for a prosperous future for all and protect the vulnerable.

Her socialist counterpart in the Senate, Bernie Sanders, called for the Senate to end the filibuster, destroying itself just to protect Roe v Wade:
Congress must pass legislation that codifies Roe v. Wade as the law of the land in this country NOW. And if there aren’t 60 votes in the Senate to do it, and there are not, we must end the filibuster to pass it with 50 votes.

Not only has the leak done damage to the Supreme Court, socialists like AOC and Bernie want to use this moment to burn the rest of our institutions down in order to protect baby murder.
Don’t you love how AOC uses the pretense of ‘elections’ to advocate for destroying our systems of government? She and Bernie claim to be all about democracy but at the end of the day that’s just a bunch of bs. They are authoritarians who think they know better than everyone else and, like good Democrats, want to impose their will on everyone.
Which is ironic considering a decision to overturn Roe v Wade would actually end up being more democratic, returning the power to the people and their states to decide on this issue.
