Police in Tempe, Arizona, are starting a new program today where they will begin pulling people over for good driving. It was announced on the news today:

When police pull someone over for good driving, they will give them a coupon for a free drink at a Circle-K convenience store.
I don’t know who thought of this idea but I do not think it’s going to go over well. I can imagine there might be more than a few angry people who are in a hurry to get somewhere and now have to deal with a cop pulling them over for being a good driver.
People who are obeying the law just want to be left alone.
Also, why put cops in potentially more dangerous situations when they don’t have to be?
