The Associated Press was absolutely demolished online for a really crappy tweet about George H.W. Bush.
It’s not so much that it was overly bad in itself, but it sprouted a ton of comparisons to past tweets that showed the bias they have against Republicans.
Like, for instance:
One was a tyrannical mass-murderer, the other was George H.W. Bush: honorable man, devoted father, fearless patriot, and former President of the greatest nation on earth.

Guess which one was shown more decency in death by the @AP? Pathetic pic.twitter.com/LWCbgaLyNn

Patrician verbage tells me you are trying to invoke some type of class ware fare. Yeah keep telling folks a real class system exists here. You know class is very fluid here and depends on ones work ethic. https://t.co/DgCCpgfLig
A President died. How about you show the family some respect and not belittle the deceased? This is just part of what is wrong with America, zero empathy for others. Rest easy with Barbara Mr. President. https://t.co/gzKSj0xcbt

They did eventually delete it, but it took two days:
We’ve deleted a tweet and revised a story on the death of President George H.W. Bush because the tweet and the opening of the story referenced his 1992 electoral defeat and omitted his WWII service.

And they’re still getting obliterated:
Took you guys 2 full days to come up with a revision. Eat shit. https://t.co/316qqFp2xL

They wait minutes after a person has died to start smearing them but take their time to finally delete and give a half assed apology https://t.co/U3Yn1QPA1v

Just pathetic.
