AWESOME: Idaho governor signs bill banning ‘transgender females’ from competing in female sports!

A few weeks ago we told you about the Idaho House and Senate passing a bill that would ban ‘transgender females’, otherwise known as males, from competing in female sports. Well their Republican governor just signed the bill so now it’s law:

FREE BEACON – Idaho governor Brad Little (R.) on Monday signed the Fairness in Women’s Sports Act to prohibit biologically male students from participating in all-female sports.

“Athletic teams or sports designated for females, women, or girls shall not be open to students of the male sex,” the bill states.

The law cites differences in male and female physiology that results in distinct athletic capabilities.

“Under this bill, boys and men will not be able to take the place of girls and women in sports because it is not fair,” state representative Barbara Ehardt told Reuters.

“Because it is not fair…” Exactly! No matter how you size it up, biological males have a clear advantage in athletic competitions.

Free Beacon also reports that the “governor also signed a second bill on Monday that prohibits transgender people from changing their sex on their birth certificate.”

Honestly, I’m a little surprised the governor signed the bill even though he is a Republican. When we first reported this a few weeks back, we also pointed out that earlier this year the governor had stated “I don’t think we ought to be sending signals that we’re intolerant in Idaho. That’s my personal position.” But regardless of his personal position, he came down on the right side of this. So major kudos to Governor Brad Little.
