This is a great pick-me-up for those of you feeling a bit down through these months of hardship and strife and last few weeks of intense battling over votes and, frankly, the future of the country. It’s a little reminder that you aren’t alone, and even more than that, that your values are shared by the men and women who are willing to put their lives on the line for this country.
Hopefully it was a pick-up for President Trump, too. A reminder to him that so much of America – REAL America – is still with him.

But even more important that reminders about shared politics or shared support for the President is the GREAT reminder that Americans are brave, free, fearsome people, and our warriors love this country unabashedly, fervently and loud.
It’s a small thing, to chant at a football game. Just a crowd of onlookers there for sports, cheering and speaking in unison. No big thing. Just a sound that wells up and echoes, of hundreds of voices joined in concert and praise. In joy, in defiance of what ails us, in celebration of what’s good in life.
Maybe not so small, though, huh?
