And in case you think it’s hyperbole, the expert psychiatrist who issued this dire warning can allay your concerns. “This is not hyperbole,” she explained. “This is the reality.”
Wow. This a real bummer.
The devastating news of imminent Armageddon was delivered by one Dr. Bandy X. Lee, a Yale psychiatrist and member of the National Coalition of Concerned Mental Health Experts. She and some of her clubmates have been telling receptive Democrats that President Trump is a deranged and mentally unfit person, and that the situation is so severe it constitutes a NATIONAL EMERGENCY.
By the way, a national emergency would allow them to get around their ethical and professional obligation not to diagnose someone they’ve never examined. But we’re sure that’s just a coincidence.
This is from a Politico article that first told us all about Lee and her missionary work to Congress.
Lawmakers concerned about President Donald Trump’s mental state summoned Yale University psychiatry professor Dr. Bandy X. Lee to Capitol Hill last month for two days of briefings about his recent behavior.
In private meetings with more than a dozen members of Congress held on Dec. 5 and 6, Lee briefed lawmakers — all Democrats except for one Republican senator, whom Lee declined to identify. Her professional warning to Capitol Hill: “He’s going to unravel, and we are seeing the signs.”

The Trump administration has disagreed with assessments that the president is psychologically unwell. White House spokesperson Sarah Huckabee Sanders called the suggestion “disgraceful and laughable” during Thursday’s press briefing. Trump also tweeted on Saturday morning that “throughout my life, my two greatest assets have been mental stability and being, like, really smart.”
Assuming Sanders was echoing the president’s own thoughts when she said that, that statement could be yet another sign of impairment, Lee said. “Deflecting or projecting are often concerning signs,” she said. “Usually, as someone becomes mentally impaired, they lose the ability to consider the possibility that something could be wrong.” Vehement denial is almost a sure sign of illness, she said.
“That’s why forcible commitment is permitted—because it is their illness speaking, not their own healthy decision making.”

A totally sane and reasonable position. No wonder Vox and Newsweek and Politico and CNN and Democrats treat this so seriously and give her such credibility. It’s a super duper credible thing to believe. The world is going to end because of an evil man who will destroy us all single-handedly unless we bind him in some kind of hellish place apart and separate from us. Have faith in the truth of the words.
