Joe Biden had a terrible showing in the Iowa Caucuses and New Hampshire polls suggest it won’t be any different for him when the vote comes in tonight. Which leads MSNBC’s Andrea Mitchell to suggest that Biden is running on fumes and that his campaign for president is “beginning to have that feeling of a loser”:
Biden used to be one of the favorites to win Iowa. But his poor performances in the debates, his quasi-senile appearances in town halls and the smell of corruption with his son’s business dealings in Ukraine have apparently all began to catch up with him.
The poll that Mitchell references is a national poll that came out yesterday that shows Sanders leading with +8 points ahead of Biden, who was leading the poll by +5 points just two weeks ago.
But Super Tuesday is coming soon, on March 3, where 14 states will hold Democratic primaries. Biden may be running on fumes, but he isn’t jumping to any conclusions about his faltering campaign before March 3rd. He’ll ride it out until then, hoping these 14 states will save his campaign.
