Ben Carson gets in a good jab at Ilhan Omar…

This week Ben Carson was before a congressional hearing where a Democrat was grilling him with a bunch of ‘yes or no’ questions that he clearly took issue with. In the clip he’s very soft-spoken and he even lightly mocks the woman questioning him after she refuses to ask him anything but yes or no questions:

Carson cracked me up when he tried to reclaim his time…

The clip was posted to Twitter and Ilhan Omar suggested that, because of Carson’s soft-spoken responses, that perhaps he needed more sleep:

Carson actually responded to Omar and got in a good dig at her, pointing out that he cares for all people – even the ones she thinks doesn’t deserve to live:

Dang. Nice pro-life jab.

  1. Imagine an arrogant anti American fool talking like that to a man who successfully operated and was successful in separating conjoined babies joined at the head/brain .
I’ve always admired Ben Carson for what a brilliant surgeon he was even though he annoyed me a lot in the 2016 election. I’m glad he got that dig in to that ignorant fool , I’d have to smack her silly. :clapping:

  2. HUD was created in 1965 @OMAR and trillions spent and yet unable to solve the problem of housing, would you agree YES or NO. Has the Federal Government contributed to the deterioration of public housing YES or NO. What a disgusting display of ignorance.

  3. Watching the behavior of the democrats is like watching a high school student government in action.

    1. I beg your pardon! I’ll put the competence of any high school student government over the Democrats in Congress any day!

  4. We are “eliminating a stock…” the real elephant in the room…hmmmmm, where is all that housing going? maybe ILLEGALS are taking housing that is for AMERICANS?

    1. Along those lines, here in CA the state Congress is going forward on approving a “congestion tax”. I can’t help but think that we wouldn’t need a “congestion tax” if the state hadn’t caused the congestion by making us a sanctuary state. So here we have the government causing the problem that hurts legal residents and then taxing us to fix the problem they continue to exacerbate. Our state Congress is also suggesting building high density housing in place of single family residences in areas near transportation and employment. That would be fine, sort of, except that they only plan to allow for one half parking space per unit. All I can think is that this will cause so much more congestion because every person in CA, no matter how poor, has a vehicle. Even the street people have cars and RVs. Where will the people that move into the high density units be parking their cars? These types of areas are already high density but the CA Congress intends to intensify the problem if they have their way.

    2. We know that is the case. And I suppose none of this existed for 8 years when Obama was in office?

And since Dr. Carson grew up in the Detroit ghetto – I think he knows something about poverty – probably more than this woman who is interrogating him does!

  5. There’s a reason Ben is a brain surgeon and Omar is not…………………..Intelligence.

  9. With my temperament or more accurately “temper”, I could never sit there and be lectured like that. There is no desire to ask real questions, but rather give speeches and demean the “enemy”.
It’s clear to see why Congress is more unpopular than gonorrhea.

    1. Can you imagine going from the darling of the world as a brain surgeon – beloved by everyone – and then sitting in Congress being demeaned by a woman that’s never accomplished 1% of what he’s done with his life. I am with you – my temperament would have gotten the better of me and I probably would have either stormed out or started to cry.

  10. Housing and healthcare is apparently a “human right”. Hmmm. What else is? If everything is, what is the individual responsible for?

  12. Ben did exceptionally well during this hearing despite the personal attacks lobbed at him.

    1. It’s in the UN Charter, P… the Left believes the UN Charter supersedes the US Constitution.

    2. Me too!

These people spend way too much time listening to the leaders in Europe and at the UN.

They will never understand Americans because this country did not evolve though centuries of feudalism, monarchies, and dictatorships. This country was built on the idea of the rights of the individual and a birthright of liberty!

  14. I can imagine how much tougher it is to be in Trump’s administration and be black at the same time when there is a liberal around.

  15. Omar will likely claim Dr. Carson’s comment is “sexist…” The Left’s idiocy never stops surprising me…

  16. While it ticks me off when democrats do it, I applaud his skillful ability to not answer any of her asinine questions. Her attacking attitude and obvious condescending line of questioning (reeked of a political agenda) are not worthy of an answer. She could have just as easily stood in front of a drooling, complicit media and gave her little grandstanding bullet points to them.

    1. Plus, what is this YES or NO crap they are using… Omar did the same thing. This is not a court of law and it is supposed to be questioning, not interrogation. They don’t want the real answer – they only want soundbites that they can use against this administration.

      1. HUD created in 1965 and made the situation worse. Government should not be involved in housing. The deterioriated conditions she points to is a result of Government . Free housing is a right if you believe we are the property of Government and need to be taken care of.

  17. Also, maybe Surgeon General would’ve been a better placement for Carson, but she isn’t the President so gets no say. Maybe she should run for POTUS if she thinks she could do a better job. Until then, her opinion in this regard means squat.

  18. Housing is not a basic human right. And it is in no way Ben Carson’s fault that, according to her, people in MA have to work 84 hours/ week to afford a one bedroom apartment. That’s a problem in MA. Ben Carson has been on this job for 2 years and all the woes of HUD are his fault? I had no idea the Trump Admin created it. How about getting the federal gov’t out of housing? That’s what/who screws up things being attainable for people. I didn’t even get to the part with him trying to reclaim his time. She was infuriating to listen to.

    1. I agree it is the states fault. In the town I live in seems like every year they take bids to go in and remodel the low rent housing units. Plus doesn’t Section 8 housing require a house or apartment meet requirements?

  19. Q: Why do democrats get away with being despicable?
A: The despicable leftist media carries their water.

Q: Why does the despicable leftist media get away with malpractice?
A: The passive viewers/listeners do nothing.

All that is necessary for the triumph of evil is that good men do nothing.
    –Edmund Burke
