We’ve talked time and time again about just how much the media and Democrats hate Trump, and their hatred for him as on display again today after his speech as an MSNBC pundit cast Iran as the rational actor and Trump was the irrational one that people are worried will start a war:
It’s really unbelievable when you consider that Iran is the one who started all this. Via their terror militia group Kataeb Hezbollah, Iran attacked and killed a US military contractor and wounded many others. The US responded to that attack with force, killing 25 of these Iranian militia members.
Iran then responded by attacking our embassy in Baghdad with more of their militia members and planning more attacks against us. The United States responds again with force, killing their top General Suleimani.
Up to this point Iran has been the aggressor. But hey, nevermind all of those facts. Trump is the irrational one that Democrats fear might start World War 3!
Ben Shapiro also hit this stupid new narrative right in the mouth:
So the media's new narrative is that Iran is more rational than Trump, so no war. You are now declaring the Iranian regime, which hangs gay people from cranes, oppresses women, and pursues global terrorism, more rational than a president using basic deterrence strategy. GTFO.

This was Deterrence 101. There was no indicator at any time that Trump was desperate for war. And there was very good reason to believe that Iran would back down — namely, that they would actually lose a war. The point of peace through strength is PEACE.

He’s exactly right. Reagan always believed in peace through strength because it works, and this is exactly the strategy that Trump employed against Iranian attacks on our people. And look what it led to: Iran bombing an empty Iraqi base with zero casualties. And now it appears that everything is de-escalating.
