This morning the governing board at Harvard voted to keep president Claudine Gay and they did so unanimously.
In the letter they excuse how she handled her congressional testimony by pointing out that she apologized for it. They also condemn calls for genocide and say the University’s initial statement should have been immediate, direct and an unequivocal condemnation.
Here’s the news:

They also excuse her plagiarism by saying they did a review of her writings and “found a few instances of inadequate citation.”
Ben Shapiro, a Harvard graduate, responded to the news by accusing the university of hiring Gay because of DEI:
Of course they do. If they fired her, that would call the entire DEI scheme — a scheme that is the entire reason she was hired — into question. Must protect the precious. https://t.co/DjIOm9p4jR

He also retweeted Colin Wright who called Harvard’s board a cult:
Unsurprisingly, the cult decided not to fire their leader. What's also unsurprising is that the cult claims to have investigated their own leader and found her innocent. #DefundHarvard https://t.co/kdPxANUqUo
