Biden Calls Entire GOP Field Homophobic

“There’s still those shrill voices in the national political arena trying to undo what has finally been done,” said Vice President Joe Biden last night at the Human Rights Campaign National Dinner. “But the American people have moved so far beyond them.”

He was one of several politicians, including candidate Hillary Clinton, to address the annual gathering of the largest LGBT activist group in America. We have heard much in America in the last few weeks, particularly in the post-Pope euphoria, about finding common ground, working together, new tone etc etc, and certainly that new tone was on display last night.

“Look, there are some homophobes still left, most of them are running for president I think.”

See? Tone. Togetherness. Characterizing policy disagreement as “homophobia.” All good things. Unity. America. Don’t elect Republicans.

Feel the love, guys.
