Biden dropped this on Twitter a few hours ago, claiming that the Capitol mob got special treatment because they were white:
No one can tell me that if it had been a group of Black Lives Matter protestors yesterday that they wouldn’t have been treated very differently than the mob that stormed the Capitol.

What a load of racist garbage. We all know what would have happened if this had been BLM rioters. For one, the Capitol building would have been burned down. Two, Democrats and the media would be defending the crowd and/or playing it down. And three, they would have found a reason to blame Trump, just like they always do.

This is a dishonest editing of history in order to stoke a racial divide in this country. The truth is the National Guard was deployed because of all the destruction and looting BLM had done up to this point. The weekend before they had just set St John’s Church on fire in DC near Lafayette Square because of the death of George Floyd while in police custody. Not to mention how they wrecked Minneapolis.
But this isn’t the case for Trump gatherings. No one expected an assault on the Capitol building yesterday. They were simply going to march to the Capitol and protest, at least that’s what was expected. Which is why there was no National Guard presence ahead of time.
