Biden’s DHS Secretary Mayorkas told Democrats today on Capitol Hill that his department has created a ‘Disinformation Governance Board’ to combat election misinformation and disinformation aimed at minorities.
Watch:
Mayorkas is asked about ‘disinformation’ being targeted at minorities in regards to elections, and he responds by saying he’s got a “number of different offices engaged in this critical effort.”
He throws out a couple of department names, which he says are leading the effort to combat election mis- and disinformation and then says:
Our Undersecretary for Policy, Rob Silvers is co-chair with our Principal Deputy General Counsel, Jennifer Gaskell, in leading a just recently constituted misinformation disinformation governance board. So we’re bringing — the goal is to bring the resources of the department together to address this threat.
Everything he said was in reference to election mis- and disinformation. But the woman who is heading up the board, Nina Jankowicz, doesn’t mention any of this in her tweet today about this new board:
Cat's out of the bag: here's what I've been up to the past two months, and why I've been a bit quiet on here.
Honored to be serving in the Biden Administration @DHSgov and helping shape our counter-disinformation efforts. https://t.co/uN20vl7qqV pic.twitter.com/JEn4FqLdck

The statement from Politico that she tweeted says the board, which was apparently created in secret, will be specifically focused on “illegal migration and Russia.”
But clearly that’s not their sole focus. It looks to me like the main focus of this new board is for the Biden administration, using the massive power and wealth of the government, to try and tilt elections toward Democrats.
They couldn’t pass their outrageous federalization of elections, so now Biden is using ‘his pen and phone’ to try and accomplish the same agenda.
