Joe Biden today said that Putin cannot stay in power. It’s an unprecedented comment. An escalation. It invites retaliation. And considering his comment the other day about troops being in Ukraine soon, which the White House tried to walk back, it’s pretty much a signal.
Who would pay that price? Who would overthrow Putin? The Russian people? The oligarchs?
NATO?
Listen to his delivery. Even his standard God Bless our Troops ending line has ominous intent in it.
“For God’s sake, this man cannot remain in power.”
That’s what most of us say every day. But not about Putin.
