Biden says it’s a “real possibility” that Senate Dems will use the nuclear option to raise debt limit

Biden was asked tonight if Senate Democrats will invoke the nuclear option to raise the debt limit and said “I think that’s a real possibility”:

Is Biden dreaming? Becuase if Senate Democrats can’t unify enough to invoke the nuclear option to get rid of the filibuster, then how are they going to do it to raise the debt ceiling?

Will Joe Manchin and Kyrsten Sinema agree to just set aside the filibuster for the debt ceiling and nothing else? Because that sets a bad precedent for the future and the pressure for them to use it to end the filibuster will skyrocket.

I could be wrong, but I suspect that neither Manchin nor Sinema will agree to do this. Which means Dems are still at square one, trying to shove massive bills down the throats of Americans without any help from Republicans.

Something has to break, but I don’t think it’s going to be McConnell. It’s going to be the disastrous agenda of this administration. Hopefully.
