Biden is slated to give a presidential address to the nation tonight because it’s our COVID anniversary or something:
NY POST – President Biden will deliver his first primetime address to the nation as commander-in-chief Thursday night, as the US marks the one-year anniversary of the coronavirus pandemic.
Biden’s speech, scheduled for 8 p.m. EST, will come the night before he plans to sign his $1.9 trillion Covid-19 relief package into law.
While text of his remarks have yet to be released, the president said at an event Wednesday that he planned to focus on “the next phase” of the virus relief effort in the wake of the bill’s passage.
“Tomorrow night, I’m going on primetime to address the American people and talk about what we went through as a nation this past year,” he told reporters, “But more importantly, I’m going to talk about what comes next.
“I’m going to launch the next phase of the COVID response and explain what we will do as a government and what we will ask of the American people.”
“There is light at the end of this dark tunnel of the past year, but we cannot let our guard down now or assume that victory is inevitable. Together, we’re going to get through this pandemic and usher in a healthier and more hopeful future,” Biden continued.
I think the only people who will care about this address to the nation will be the media and Democratic politicians. I’m honestly not sure why it’s even necessary at this point. It made sense a year ago when Trump gave an address because we were at the outset of the dangerous pandemic and there was a lot of confusion things that needed to be done to protect the country and its citizenry. But people have been getting vaccinated since mid-December and some states are already returning to normal. I’m just not sure what’s so important that it demands a presidential address to the nation. Regardless, we’ll probably provide a live stream so you can watch it.
Meanwhile, Biden is still hiding from the press. Sure, he’s taken a question here or there as he finishes up his speeches, but he’s still never held a full press conference like Trump and all other presidents had done by now. Today isn’t just our COVID anniversary, it’s Hidin’ Biden’s 50th day without giving a press conference:

I’d ask why Biden’s people are continuing to hide him, but we all know it’s because they don’t want Biden to embarrass himself (and the country) and reveal just how bad his mental decline has gotten. So they’ll just keep putting him in front of a teleprompter so he continue to look like he’s holding it together.
