It was announced today that the Biden administration will help Tajikistan secure its border with Afghanistan, which is not sitting well with many in the US:
FOX NEWS – The United States is helping Tajikistan secure a portion of its border with Afghanistan to help combat security threats in the region since the U.S. troop withdrawal from Kabul Monday, despite the ongoing crisis at the U.S. border that’s seeing thousands of migrants pour into the country every day.
The U.S. Embassy in Dushanbe has launched a project to construct new facilities for a Border Service detachment along the Tajik-Afghan-Uzbek border, allowing Tajikistan’s border troops to deploy more quickly in response to threats in the region, the embassy said in a press release Wednesday.
“The United States and Tajikistan enjoy strong security cooperation, and this border detachment project is just another example of our shared commitment to the security and sovereignty of Tajikistan and Central Asia,” Ambassador John Pommersheim said in a statement.
The project is scheduled to break ground in early 2022. When completed, the new facility will provide housing for Tajikistan’s border troops and their family members, the release said.
Border agents have spoken out about this calling it a slap in the face:
Border sources who spoke to Fox News say the administration’s priorities are misplaced.
“With the record setting pace of nearly a million encounters so far at the southern border, it’s heartening to see the Biden administration finally getting serious about border security. It’s just too bad it’s in another country,” one senior border official told Fox News.
“This is a slap in the face to us,” a border agent said.
Another border agent added: “Biden’s already destroyed Afghanistan so the borders don’t need to be open.
All three sources spoke on condition of anonymity to avoid retribution.
Hundreds of thousands of illegal immigrants continue to pour over the U.S. southern border every month.
This isn’t much different than Biden helping the Russians out with their pipeline while shutting down ours and putting thousands of people out of work.
Everything Biden does is backwards, just like his evacuation from Afghanistan. Seriously, he evacuated a bunch of Afghans without vetting them while leaving US citizens and allies trapped in the country.
Biden is such a damn disgrace.
