A week ago, Chief Justice John Roberts granted an emergency appeal on behalf of President Trump to pause an order by a district court that forced the federal government to pay some USAID foreign grants.
Roberts has just now reinstated that lower court order, saying Trump’s application to vacate the order had been denied. Justices Alito, Thomas, Gorsuch, and Kavanaugh all dissented.

Ironically (or not), this comes right after President Trump was seen thanking Roberts for the earlier ruling last night at his address to Congress.
