BIG BREAKING: Thomas Massie just threatened to oust Speaker Johnson if he doesn’t resign [UPDATE: MASSIE CONFIRMS]

It’s being reported just now that Thomas Massie has told Speaker Johnson that he’s going to cosponsor MTG’s motion to oust him as House Speaker.

Massie reportedly told Johnson to resign or else he’ll be ousted.

This no doubt has everything to do with the funding of Israel and Ukraine that we wrote about this morning. According to Sherman, Johnson is now arguing that these bills must be tied together:

INSIDE THE HOUSE GOP MEETING — @SpeakerJohnson is giving a pitch why the House has to tie all these bills together and pass them to the senate.

Johnson said if the House passes them separately, the senate could clear Ukraine aid and then ignore or change Israel aid and send it back to the house.

The process here is a big point of contention among some. There are clear procedural advantages as well.
