BLM activist who the left loved arrested for trying to ASSASSINATE white mayoral candidate with a 9mm Glock

Quintez Brown, a black BLM activist who was anti-gun and was featured on MSNBC and by the Obama Foundation for his stance against guns, was just arrested for trying to assassinate a white mayor candidate in the city of Louisville who was the Democratic frontrunner.

Thankfully Brown is a bad shot.

WLKY – A Louisville man facing multiple felony charges, accused of trying to kill a mayoral candidate, faced a judge Tuesday morning.

Quintez Brown, 21, was in 9 a.m. arraignment court to formally hear the charges against him, which are attempted murder and four counts of wanton endangerment.

His bond was raised from $75,000 to $100,000 full cash.

Police said he tried to kill democratic candidate Craig Greenberg on Monday morning at his campaign headquarters in Butchertown Market.

Greenberg and police said Brown walked in and opened fire. No one was hit, but a shot grazed Greenberg’s sweater, he said.

There were four other people in the office at the time, hence the four counts of wanton endangerment.

Greenberg said his team was able to barricade the door after shots were fired, and then the suspect fled.

He is known in the community as an activist, a writer and he had his eyes set on running for Metro Council District 5, and had even filed.

Metro Council President David James called the shooting an “assassination attempt.”

The Daily Beast gives us a little more on Brown’s activism:

Once honored by Barack Obama’s foundation and appearing on MSNBC, Quintez Brown is now accused of trying to kill a white mayoral candidate.

Brown, 21, is facing several charges, including attempted murder, after allegedly bursting into Lousiville mayoral candidate Craig Greenberg’s office on Monday and opening fire with a 9mm Glock handgun. While none of the five people in the office were injured—a bullet did graze the back of the Democrat’s sweater—a judge on Tuesday set bail at $100,000 despite Brown’s lawyer pointing to mental-health issues and a lack of criminal history.

Brown’s affiliation with Black Lives Matter and social-justice issues led to his being featured on MSBNC in 2018, where he spoke about wanting “common-sense gun reform.” He was also featured by the Obama Foundation as a “rising face,” and participated in the former president’s “My Brother’s Keeper” program, one of 22 students nationwide who were invited to the inaugural gathering of the “My Brother’s Keeper Alliance.”

“I have seen the consequences of poverty and centuries of systemic racism and oppression, and I believe in the potential of everyone,” Brown said in in a statement still posted on the foundation’s webpage. “I cannot stand by silently while I see the lives and potential of my brothers and sisters be cut short due to systemic injustice. Our brothers need hope. Our brothers need positive role models. Our brothers need mentors.”

Last but not least, here’s a great tweet from Defiant L’s on Brown:
