‘My BLOOD BOILED’ at Hoekstra justifying Russian attack on our election – Kinzinger

I am shocked and surprised that we found a Republican who understands that winning an election at all costs, including foreign interference, can be dangerous to the constitution and the rule of law. The GOP will probably punish him for it.

What Kinzinger is referring to is the prior interview with former Republican Representative Hoekstra where he does everything he can to demean his own rational faculties to defend Putin’s hacking.

This issue is difficult because while it’s obvious that Dems are using this as an occasion to try to delegitimize Trump’s victory, that doesn’t mean that we need to mindlessly oppose the inquiry into the hacking. But that’s exactly what some on the Right are doing in a knee-jerk outrage response to those raising real concerns about a foreign power interfering with our elections. After all, who cares about our sovereignty as long as you’re in power, right?
