BOLTON: I wouldn’t do anything to help the al-Maliki govt; Let’s hope both sides lose

John Bolton believes that ISIL may have made a strategic mistake by charging into Iraq and taking over several cities, pointing out that Iran now has ISIL in what he calls a ‘nutcracker’, with al-Maliki on one side and the Assad regime on the other, especially given that ISIL may only have 3,000 troops.

In short, he believes this is an opportunity for Iran and that they are going to take it.

As to our participation in Iraq, Bolton says al-Maliki doesn’t deserve our help because he’s not performed as a responsible leader and that we shouldn’t do anything to help him, especially given that he is a satellite of Iran.

Bolton goes on to quote Henry Kissenger saying “Let’s hope both sides lose”.
