Dan Bongino believes that Mayor De Blasio shouldn’t just resign, but he should resign in shame because he’s provided absolutely atrocious leadership for the city of New York. Bongino points out that there was an opportunity with the death of Eric Garner for there to be helpful and productive conversations about police training, community affairs and foot patrols where people can get to know their neighborhood cop again. But that’s not what he did. Instead, via innuendo after innuendo he basically accused the entire police department of racism.
Bongino is asked later if De Blasio should attend the funerals of the murdered cops and agrees that he’s still the mayor and should attend these funerals. But he added that if it were his funeral or someone in his family, he wouldn’t want the mayor to be there.
