BOOM! Alabama Senate passes YUGE pro-life bill and liberals’ heads are IMPLODING!

The Alabama Senate passed a law to implode every angry liberal baby-hatin’ cranial melon by criminalizing most abortions in the state.

It MUST be noted that the legislation will only cause criminal charges against abortion providers, not those who undergo the operation.

From the Hill:

The Alabama Senate on Tuesday evening passed legislation that bans nearly all abortions in the state, sending the measure to Gov. Kay Ivey’s (R) desk to be signed into law.

Ivey has not said whether she will sign the measure, which passed by a 25-6 margin. It would ban abortions in virtually all instances in Alabama, including for victims of rape and incest, and would only permit the procedure if necessary to save a mother’s life.

Anyone performing an abortion could be punished by 10 to 99 years in prison, but no criminal charges would be filed against a person undergoing the procedure.

The legislation was tabled last week when a shouting match erupted on the Senate floor after an exception for cases of rape and incest was removed from the bill.

The bill’s proponents say they hope the legislation, along with abortion restrictions in other states, will set up a Supreme Court battle that will see the overturning of the landmark Roe v. Wade decision that was the first to legalize abortion.

Wow. This is sure to make put liberals’ panties in a bunch. Here are some now:

Mostly only liberals get that obscure reference, but they think it’s sooper-profound.

She’s a writer.

So tolerant.

But those who love life and hate death are happy:

And that includes me.

The Left are liars and hypocrites when it comes to the abortion question. They really don’t give a rat’s patoot about women when all is said and done. If they really and truly cared abortion would be THE LAST thing that they’d want perpetrated on a woman. Full bore education with full disclosure, openness and prosecuting with prejudice sexual abusers (especially those who abuse and impregnate young underage girls) would do far more to help women than a surgical procedure that not only ends a human baby’s life but puts the mother’s life at major risk also. The abortion rights people treat that procedure like it’s akin to clipping toenails. It’s major freaking surgery!!! The abortion rights people are the ones denying women choice by denying women the right to full disclosure about what is about to be done to them. Women are treated like idiots and being denied access… Read more »

I’ve sensed for awhile now that there has been a shift when it comes to abortion, and the tide is starting to turn our way. I think they sense it too, which is way they are acting out the way they are.

For the first time a high profile politician (Trump) has engaged the issue publicly, and we have discovered (surprise!) that abortion is impossible to defend in the public square.

This has invigorated the movement nationally. Abortion could be to this generation what cigarette smoking was to the last. Abortion must become shameful. Once it is, the laws will follow.

Abortion is a litmus test of tolerance for liberals. They fail it every time. Guys, the states you hate are doing things you don’t like and you have no moral trump card. Why not be tolerant? That’s what you claim you are. So live it.

The Left always throwing around how ‘unconstitutional’ it is to prohibit abortion. I don’t care what Bernie thinks nor what Leftists believe. They’re a__holes.

They will still blame the “patriarchy” when a woman Governor signs it into law.

I assume this may very well go to the Supreme Court. Just discussing this from a different place.

That’s where I’m scared. It would sure be awful for the court to re-affirm Roe, Doe, and Casey in the face of these challenges. I’d like to see an additional Constitutionalist appointed before the legal challenges arrive.

Right. I think this is not the right case to use to challenge that standing.

Eventually it will go to the Supreme Court. If not this law, then another similar law. I said it before, but I think the tide is turning. It would certainly help if we got another actually conservative justice (Amy Barrett maybe?). I don’t think Ruth Vader Ginsburg can hold on too much longer.

I mean, the whole point of this law is to force the issue before the Supreme Court. The law itself will be held unconstitutional by a district judge and that decision will be upheld by the eleventh circuit faster than you can say “Brett Kavanaugh.”

You know, if all of the flyover states who have recently passed bills that protect the unborn formed their own country, I wouldn’t have a problem with it.

THANK GOD! And thank you to the great legislators in Alabama!

We seem to be at a moment where the abortion debate is finally moving. Our side has gained courage (largely due to Trump) and we’ve also become much savvier. Bills are now being introduced with titles like, the “Anti-fetal Dismemberment Act.” A large percentage of abortions are D&C abortions. Does anyone want to come out in favor of “fetal dismemberment”? Ask people this question. The bills title serves another purpose, too, in that it teaches everyone what happens in an abortion.

This is great, if it becomes law. I appreciate Alabama for being so bold and caring towards saving life. And I have no doubt that the ACLU and activist judges are preparing to intervene. Devils.

For politicians who claim to care so much about humanity, they don’t have much of it.

Yeah, it’s really inhumane to save babies’ lives.

People go across the country all the time for medial issues. People travel to the Mayo clinic, John Hopkins, heck they travel across the country for Dr. Pimple Popper. You want an abortion that badly? Go to a soul sucking state like NY and kill your child. Leave the other states be. And the “what about people who don’t have the means?” argument? Again, people with low means have traveled before for medical care.

Show on TLC. She removes cysts and lypomas. But she oozes it out like pimples. Apparently a lot of dermatologists say it’s not causing an harm so don’t worry but it’s a 6 inch lump so people want it gone and go to her.

Are there state’s rights or not?! If the people of a state find infanticide to be abhorrent, they have a right to criminalize it, regardless of federal laws that allow murder for certain lives. If an Alabaman wants an abortion, she can go to another state and have it done…any of those Yankee states will do it, and some of them for free.

As with all evil legislature, where the faithless progressive commie-socialists prevail, these laws start out as something that would only happen rarely, then escalate to Planned Parenthood baby mills with parts harvesting for profit, and now murder even after delivery. This is why measures advanced by progressives can never be adopted….”give ’em and inch, they take a mile.” There are no good intentions from the left anymore.

State’s rights only go so far. No state has a right to allow murder to go unpunished, AFAIC.

SCOTUS does not see abortion as murder. At this point, only the people can cause the overturning of Roe v. Wade.

Handmaid’s Tale memes are the worn out symbol of lazy minds. For a dystopian fiction to even be interesting there needs to be something within it feasibly tying itself to a potential reality. Seems to me the author concocted her plot out of some bigoted, hysterical reaction to Christians against infanticide and absolutely lost track of that fact.

Well the GOP is killing the Earth too so all these babies they think they’re saving will be killed by hurricanes, tornadoes, tsunamis, floods, and general apocalyptic nightmares.

The dedicated eugenicists and female hedonists would become infinitely apoplectic. Reading how deranged they are living within the delusion of some imaginary menacing patriarchy and the falsehood of abortion being about women’s rights, I think these psychopaths would resort to violence. I don’t even think the media could successfully mask their insanity if that came to pass.

Pongo

Aaron Yaegar

I was implying something more violent than that. I don’t want to be histrionic about it, either. So let me preface it with the fact that the media and gender-studies academic types would be overselling a 32-state ban on infanticide as the complete enslavement of the wimminz by the patriarchy in preparation of the Handsmaid Apocalypse, the natural overwhelming possibility would be that there has to be an element in society that would believe and overreact very harshly to such messaging. Of course this is just a thought experiment at 5AM in the morning without my damn coffee, either, thus my judgment is murky and agitated right now. Plus I’m probably overestimating the most motivated fringe of the infanticide movement as being something that would ever truly jeopardize its first-world comforts like their 60s hardcore leftist counterparts. They’d probably tweet angrily about it more often in between breaks playing mobile… Read more »

“Stars fell on Alabama last night.” That was a old song , sung by Sinatra, but it is so fitting here.

Sign the damn thing and let’s roll it to the high court. Now this will be as profound a decision as Brown v. Board of education.

I can’t see SCOTUS ruling against it. If it stops a beating heart, how can you argue that it is a clump of cells & not a life? If it is has a beating heart…it’s a life, therefore it has rights. Every time I debate a pro-abortion person I ask them this question & it stops them in their tracks: Can you name another clump of cells that exists in nature that possesses a beating heart? They either can’t answer it or they call me part of the patriarchy in an attempt to silence me…which never works lol.

It is much more likely that SCOTUS will refuse to hear the case and leave it as a state’s rights issue, but we cannot know for sure just yet. How is the notorious RBG doing these days?

From this woman, I say thank you, Alabama. There will be enough of these bills to be challenged and go all the way to SCOTUS, and they will have to take it up. It makes me sick every time I see leftists call abortion constitutional or say things in the vein of what Gillibrand said in her tweet above – that the people who passed this don’t have much humanity. Excuse me?

Charli

Clearly, God knew this sort of thing would occur, especially in the end times, as there is scripture that discusses World View and the world’s laws, vs. the laws of The Father. If more people would read scripture, their minds would become right with what is righteous. God gave humanity free will and the eugenics-loving progressive satanists are taking full advantage.

Bernie Sanders and all of his pro abortion ilk keep saying this is “unconstitutional”. Where in the hell does the Constitution mention abortion?

that a clump of cells is more of a person than a women.

There it is. There’s the genocidal ideology put stark.

“More of a person.”

not those who undergo the operation.

Meaning the judicial right to abortion is not infringed. You’re still free to have one. But freedom to do something doesn’t mean freedom to access and availability to do something, especially at someone else’s expense.

If you have a right to widgets, it doesn’t mean you have a right to force me to make them for you.

Way to go Alabama. Hopefully we here in TN will get this done too and hopefully my homestate of LA will do the same(probably will have to wait until John Bel Edwards is replaced with a Republican.) Bernie Sanders said it was unconstitutional. First off, where in the constitution does it say a woman has a right to abortion, and secondly that’s rich coming from him who has shown no respect for our Constitution up to this point.

We’ll see if John Bel signs it. I don’t have high hopes but he might. Here in Arkansas, the legislature passed that Roe v Wade becomes illegal in the state if SCOTUS ever overturns it. That’s where this bill and the one in Georgia are headed and both were written as such that SCOTUS will need to take them up and could overturn Roe v Wade. Let’s hope that’s post-Ginsburg and the next presidential term is held by Trump.
