Florida Governor Ron DeSantis said he’s denied Biden’s request to send his state National Guard troops to DC ahead of his SOTU for when the trucker convoys arrive in country’s capital:
Last week, the Biden Administration requested the assistance of State National Guards to deploy to Washington D.C. I have rejected this request — there will be no @FLGuard sent to D.C. for Biden’s State of the Union.

I love this. There’s no reason to have this many National Guardsmen who will be unarmed for a peaceful protest.
The states sending National Guard troops to DC will include “100 Vermont Army National Guard soldiers; another 100 from the New Jersey National Guard; and around 80 from the West Virginia National Guard.”
