Here’s more from Decider:
A grand jury in Tyler County, Texas, filed a Sept. 23 indictment which states that Netflix knowingly promoted material that “depicts the lewd exhibition of the genitals or pubic area of a clothed or partially clothed child who was younger than 18 years of age at the time the visual material was created.” The indictment also states that the material in Cuties “appeals to the “prurient interest in sex” and has no “literary, artistic, political, or scientific value.”
Texas Rep. Matt Schaefer shared the indictment on Twitter today, writing, “Netflix, Inc. indicted by grand jury in Tyler Co., Tx for promoting material in Cuties film which depicts lewd exhibition of pubic area of a clothed or partially clothed child who was younger than 18 yrs of age which appeals to the prurient interest in sex.”
Below is the full document showing the indictment:
Netflix has responded already, claiming they are as pure as the wind driven snow or something:
NEW: Netflix responds to reports that a Texas grand jury has indicted Netflix for "lewd visual material" in Cuties:
"Cuties is a social commentary against the sexualization of young children. This charge is without merit and we stand by the film."
Story to come.

Maybe it is a social commentary against it, but you can’t exploit children in a social commentary against exploiting children. That makes zero sense as a defense and I’m betting it won’t fly in court.
