BOOM: Trump judge upholds Kentucky pre-abortion heartbeat law!

The Sixth Circuit has upheld a law in Kentucky that says a doctor must play the heartbeat of a mother’s unborn baby before the abortion. The doctor must also show the mother an ultrasound of the baby and appropriately describe it

The law was being contested on the basis that it violated the First Amendment rights of the doctor.

COURIER-JOURNAL – A federal appeals panel has upheld a 2017 Kentucky law requiring doctors who perform abortions to first perform an ultrasound and attempt to show and describe the fetus to the patient, as well as play an audible heartbeat.

In a 2-1 vote, with Judge J. Bush writing for the majority, the 6th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals on Thursday struck down a lower court ruling that said the law was unconstitutional.

U.S. District Judge David Hale, acting on a challenge brought by the American Civil Liberties Union, ruled in 2017 that such a law violates a physician’s right to free speech.

But the three-judge panel, led by Bush, of Louisville, appointed by President Donald Trump, ruled otherwise, overturning Hale and ruling in favor of the administration of Gov. Matt Bevin, an anti-abortion Republican who defended the law.

According to Bloomberg Law, the judge ruled in his opinion “that information is truthful, not misleading, and relevant to a medical procedure”.

It’s amazing to me that the ACLU tried to argue that forcing a doctor to play the baby’s heartbeat and show the mother an ultrasound of her baby before an abortion is a violation of the doctor’s free speech rights.

How absurd! Freedom of speech is about protecting dissenting voices in the public arena, not a doctor refusing to perform a legitimate and widely accepted medical procedure.

This just goes to show how evil the left is, that they would fight to keep from informing a mother of the reality of the life inside her womb so they murder it. It’s barbaric!
