JD Vance was on with Megyn Kelly today and refused to back down from his comments where he talked about the Democrat Party promoting ‘childless cat ladies’.
He said the media is ignoring the context of his remarks, which were that he wasn’t attacking women who couldn’t have children. Rather, he was making the point that the Democrat Party has become anti-family and anti-child.
He explains below:
On the @megynkelly show, JD Vance refuses to backdown from his comments, instead he uses it to highlight how anti-family the Democrats have become.
This was a strong rebuttal. Gotta give credit where it's due. I respect when people stick to their guns for better or for worse. pic.twitter.com/AYYTCBRdwD

In a related issue, which Vance mentioned in the video above, Kamala Harris has begun attacking Vance on his position that families should be taxed at a lower rate than single people making tons of money.
To save you lots of ugh, skip to 2:08:
JD Vance said Americans without kids should be taxed at a higher rate in a 2021 interview obtained by @ABC
He said: "Let's tax the things that are bad and not tax the things that are good"
Then he went on to say those with kids, "should pay a different, lower tax rate" @GMA pic.twitter.com/JEjxfWrRmW— Selina Wang (@selinawangtv) July 26, 2024
What in the heck is controversial about the child tax credit? It’s there to support the idea of people having children in this country. Yes, they will attack the way he said it, calling one good and the other bad. But he’s not wrong. It is good for people to have big families in this country and it’s bad if everyone just decides not to have children.
