Clay Fuller, the candidate endorsed by President Trump, won last night’s the special election for Marjorie Taylor Greene’s old seat in the House.

This takes away one vacancy, giving Republicans 218 seats (219 if you count California’s Kevin Kiley who is now independent). Democrats have 214 seats.
I’d also like to add that some people are suggesting this was a much narrower victory than what either Trump or MTG won in 2024. But that was a presidential election year and this was a special election. Voter turnouts are always much lower and there really is no comparison.
