It’s being reported this morning by CNN reporter Erica Orden that AG Barr will not recuse himself from the current Jeffrey Epstein case:
A DOJ official says that Barr has consulted with career ethics officials at DOJ and he will not recuse from the Jeffrey Epstein case in SDNY, @evanperez reports.
Barr has been & will remain recused from any retrospective review of the resolution of the earlier case in Florida.

It was reported last night that Barr said yesterday was going to recuse himself:
Attorney General William Barr revealed Monday he recused himself from the Justice Department’s prosecution of alleged child sex trafficker Jeffrey Epstein, who was arrested over the weekend and formally charged that morning.
“I’m recused from that matter because one of the law firms that represented Epstein long ago was a firm that I subsequently joined for a period of time,” Barr told reporters in Southern Carolina.
It’s good to know that ‘recusal’ was Barr’s default position since he knew had this affiliation. It tells us how honest a man he is, despite how Democrats have tried to smear him.
Thankfully he won’t have to sit this one out. We know how Trump feels about recusals…
