There’s a lot of news going around about the Mexican Senate approving the ability of US Special Forces to enter Mexico to “take on the cartels.”
But is that really what’s happening? You’d think that by seeing some tweets like this one from Benny:
I mean, it would be awesome if that were the case – but it’s not. The context police quickly added some very good context to Benny’s tweet above:
It’s all about training Mexican troops to better take on the drug cartels, which President Trump has pressured Mexico to do. And this is a great first step towards keeping the border secure. But as far as I know, there won’t be any fighting by our elite Special Forces in Mexico, at least for now.
