The iconic music singer, Aretha Franklin, has passed away at age 76 in her home in Detroit:

I was never ‘into music’ growing up like many of my friends at school. But you’d have to be living in a hole in the ground not to have heard Aretha Franklin’s music. Her music was bigger than life, which led to receiving 44 Grammy nominations and 18 wins.
She also had her star put on the Hollywood Walk of Fame and was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.
She will most certainly be missed.
