It’s official. Arizona Governor Doug Ducey just announced his appointment to finish out John McCain’s term in the US Senate.
And the winner is…

This was expected after McSally lost by a hair to Sinema in November. And it gives her a head start on fighting to keep that seat in 2020 when she has to run for it officially.
