BREAKING: Arizona Senate race called by media for Mark Kelly over Blake Masters. Plus NV Gov. upset a WIN for school choice!

CNN, the New York Times, and the AP have projected, somehow, that Democrat Mark Kelly has won a full term as Senator from Arizona over challenger, Republican Blake Masters.

With so many votes still out, it’s a huge surprise to many people that they would call such a close race.

Equally mysterious is why Newsweek would call a clear victory for school choice in Arizona a “blow” to school choice.

But hey the media knows best, right??

First, Mark Kelly. From CNN:

Incumbent Democratic Sen. Mark Kelly will win Arizona’s Senate race, CNN projects, and defeat Republican Blake Masters.

Kelly was running for his first full term in the Senate after winning a special election in 2020 against appointed Republican Sen. Martha McSally.

No word yet from Masters but we will update this when more information comes in. When he concedes, then it’s really over, for now it’s just sort of over. As in — it’s called by the media.

We should point out Decision Desk agrees with the call.

Now to the great news in Nevada, where the Democrat incumbent Gov. Sisolak HAS conceded to his Republican challenger, Sheriff Mark Lombardo.

Lombarda supports school choice, charters schools, school vouchers — and yet somehow this blow to teacher’s unions is being called a blow to school choice by Newsweek.

Figure that one out!

GOOD. Every Republican should refuse to concede in every race until every vote is counted, on principle, and to demonstrate that the vote process and the mechanics of it need to be overhauled.
