BREAKING: BBC apologizes to President Trump for deceptively edited video

It’s just being reported that the BBC has formally and directly apologized to President Trump for deceptively editing a video from his 2021 speech on January 6th.

The video apparently aired last year on the BBC, which spliced together parts of his speech and made it sound like he made a direct call for violent action.

Here’s the reporting:

According to the BBC, “BBC chair Samir Shah has separately sent a personal letter to the White House making clear to President Trump that he and the corporation are sorry for the edit of the president’s speech on 6 January 2021, which featured in the programme.”

I think the BBC is worried about getting their butts sued off, and I hope Trump does go through with the lawsuit. If they can just get away with an apology, they’ll just do it again to him or someone else in the future.
