BREAKING: Biden DOJ just sued Idaho to block their near-total ban on abortion

Joe Biden’s corrupt DOJ has just sued the state of Ohio to try and block their near-total ban on abortion.

The Justice Department claims that the abortion ban goes too far.

Sadie Gurman is a former AP reporter now writing for the WSJ and a lot of people on Twitter mocked her for calling abortion a “consitutional right”. And I don’t blame them because she’s wrong, it was never a constitutional right. Repeating it only shows her true colors.

Here’s more on the lawsuit from Axios:

The Justice Department on Tuesday filed a challenge to Idaho’s “trigger” near-total abortion ban — the Biden’s administration’s first abortion lawsuit against a state since the Supreme Court overturned Roe v. Wade.

Idaho’s ban is set to take effect in late August, and would make abortion illegal unless needed to save a pregnant person’s life. The DOJ argues the state’s ban has “extremely narrow” exceptions and conflicts with federal law, which allows for abortions to be performed in emergency situations.

Attorney General Merrick Garland said in a press conference that the DOJ’s Reproductive Rights Task Force is evaluating reports from other states with restrictive abortion laws and is “making determinations about what further litigation we’ll seek.”

So more lawsuits will be coming. Of course.

The Supreme Court returned the power to the states to make these decisions and I just don’t believe that federal law will trump state law in these matters.

I fully expect the DOJ to lose at some point in the courts and hopefully this doesn’t have to go all the way to the Supreme Court.
