D.C. Metropolitan Police spokesperson Hugh Carew tells @Axios that a “call came in for an active shooter” at the Russell Senate Office but it “appears to be a bad call.”

The US Capitol police are searching for an active shooter in the US Senate buildings after a 911 call alerted them. The active shooter has not been confirmed yet.

If you are inside the Senate Buildings, everyone inside should be sheltering in place as the report was for a possible active shooter. It should be noted that we do not have any confirmed reports of gunshots.
