Today the CDC is expected to once again recommend that vaccinated people should start wearing masks indoors in certain situations.
From hack PBS reporter Yamiche Alcindor:
A WH source confirms:
CDC is expected to recommend today that ppl vaccinated for COVID *resume wearing masks* indoors under certain circumstances. Those circumstances include: If living with/in close contact w/ immunocompromised ppl or unvaccinated ppl such as kids under 12.

The WH source says the specific language for the CDC recommendation is still being finalized and that the recommendation may land only on fully vaccinated people wearing masks indoors when out in public if living with immunocompromised people.

“If living in close contact with unvaccinated people?” I’m sorry, but I got vaccinated so I wouldn’t have to wear a mask any longer and that’s the way it should be. I know there are exceptions and perhaps being in close contact with an immunocompromised person might be one. But living with a kid who is unvaccinated? No thanks, I’ll dare to live without a mask.
CNN’s Kaitlan Collins says they will also recommend that all K-12 schools mandate mask wearing:
More news: The CDC will also announce today that they are recommending everyone in K-12 schools wear a mask, regardless of vaccination status, a health official tells me.

It’s ironic that they would recommend this just after DeSantis declared that his state would not mandate that children wear masks in schools. You can expect the media to use this to further attack DeSantis, claiming he’s a monster or something for not protecting his kids.
