It’s just being reported that at an emergency hearing this morning, the charges against Jussie Smollett were dropped by State Attorney Kim Foxx.

The Chicago State Attorney has voluntarily dropped the charges and expunged Smollett’s record because of Smollett’s volunteer service to the community:
“After reviewing all of the facts and circumstances of the case, including Mr. Smollet’s volunteer service in the community and agreement to forfeit his bond to the City of Chicago, we believe this outcome is a just disposition & appropriate resolution…” Cook County SAO

Just as a reminder, this was 16 felony charges that have been dropped.
