CNN just announced this afternoon that they will be hosting a town hall with former President Trump.
The town hall will happen next week in New Hampshire:

Here’s the announcement:
“Just in to CNN, former President Donald Trump will participate in a CNN presidential town hall next week. The former president will take questions from New Hampshire Republicans and undeclared voters who do plan to vote in the 2024 GOP Presidential Primary. CNN This Morning anchor Katilin Collins will moderate the May 10th town hall at St. Anselm College at 9PM eastern time.”
I would say I’m surprised by this, considering how CNN relentlessly went after Trump for years when he was president, smearing him at every day they were on the air.
But Trump loves the media and has shown a willingness to back to the garbage media time and time again, despite how they treat him. See Maggie Haberman. So at the end of the day, this is not really surprising at all.
One might argue that he has to go to the MSM to win the election, but are CNN’s ratings that good?? No they are not. They are among the worst in network news.
The bottom line is that if Trump gets burned by CNN during this town hall, do we blame CNN or Trump this time?
