Earlier today we told you about a boy named Aiden who was told that he wasn’t allowed to have the Gadsden Flag patch on his backpack because it was associated with the origins of slavery. If you missed that story you can read it here.
But as of tonight the school board who oversees the school in question has reversed the decision and will now allow Aiden to proudly have the flag on his backpack:

It’s sad that it took this becoming a national story for the school board to do the right thing but at least they did it. Good on them for recognizing the important history that flag represents.
