Michael Freeman, the country prosecutor, said the evidence they have now is the citizen video, police body camera videos and a preliminary report from the medical examiner. All of that has just come together, according to the prosecutor, which is now why they are charging the officer with murder and manslaughter.
Freeman argues that this is the fastest they’ve ever charged a police officer in any case, pointing out that it happened in just a few days after the crime. He said they will release a charging document later for all to see and are still looking at potential charges for the other officers.
