The Dow Jones is responding to President Trump’s new reciprocal tariff plan and it clearly isn’t happy, plunging over 1,200 points at opening. At the current time of this writing, the Dow is down nearly 1,400 points.
There’s obviously going to be some short-term pain as we all wait to see how Trump’s tariff plan plays out, and if it does what Trump says it will do. It really does makes sense though, and hopefully these countries with high tariffs against the US will begin issuing lower tariffs soon.
