NBC News has now called the Pennsylvania race for US Senate for John Fetterman:

Dr. Oz gained ground all night but just couldn’t past 48% of the vote. Fetterman has been holding at around 49% for a while.
This is a big loss because it may cost us control of the Senate.
However, I suggest to you that not controlling the Senate may not be as big of a deal as some will make it out to be. Because even if we controlled the Senate, the net effect would be gridlock when it comes to passing legislation. Joe Biden would likely never sign a Republican bill and there’d be no way we could override a veto.
I know we’d like to control it because of hearings and investigations, and that is a big deal. And it means that Republicans performed poorly in an environment when they should have done far, far better. So yeah, not winning the Senate certainly has its down sides.
But hey, it’s not over yet.
