Ecuadorian presidential candidate, Fernando Villavicencio, has just been assassinated by a gunman (gunmen?) while leaving a political rally. In the video below you see him get into a vehicle and then you hear gunshots ring out.
You don’t see him actually get shot, that I can tell, because everyone is low and ducking for cover:

In the video below he’s being rushed to the hospital but he obviously didn’t survive.

I don’t know much about Villavicencio, but he was said to be right-wing and very anti-communist.
